
Marks KO's Hines
Fight to the Finish productions put on a very fan friendly card Saturday at the Bayou Centroplex in Galliano, LA. The event which was billed as “Season’s Beatings” took place in front of a standing room only crowd.
In the main event of the night, UBO All-American super middleweight champion Zane “The Train” Marks (10-2) dropped late sub Tremayne Hines two times in route to a second round knockout. In round 1 Marks established his jab, and worked the body of the bigger Hines. In round 2, Hines came right at Marks. Marks countered and landed a body shot that forced Hines to take three steps back and take a knee, Hines would get up at the count of 8.
Marks then rushed after Hines and put him down for the final time with a right hook to the jaw. Hines could not beat referee Rick Exe’s 10-count. Marks will return to the ring in the middle of January.




Verdin Stops Spears!
In the co-feature of the night Dulac, LA’s “Smiling” Martin Verdin kept his win streak alive with a 4th round TKO over the usually very durable “Rugged” Rodney Spears of Fort Wayne, IN. Spears has gone the distance with current Louisiana prospects Jimmy Mince (7-1) and twice with Blake Prevost (7-0-1).
Verdin pounded Spears in the first two rounds, then in round three Verdin connected with a straight right hand to the heart of Spears that took the win out of his sails. Spears decided not to come out for the start of round 4.


Dixon Stuns Rossum!
Super heavyweight “Big” John Dixon (5-25) won his second bout of 2005. Dixon won a 4 round majority decision over Sims, TX native Scott Rossum (5-2). Dixon came into the bout at 260lbs, and Rossum came in at ready 295lbs.


Butler No Test for White!
Hot heavyweight prospect “Lethel” Johnnie White (7-0) scored a :37 TKO over veteran Gary Butler. White put Butler down with a straight right, Butler would get up, but on very unsteady legs.


Arriaga Comesback to Stop Foret!
Fan favorite Paul “War Dog” Foret was knocked-out by debuting Jesus Arriaga in the 3rd round of their scheduled 4 round bout. Foret kncoked down Arriaga in the opening round, but then tired at the end of round 2. Arriaga come on strong in round 3 landing a left hook to the body of Foret which put him down for the count.


Owensby Decisions Soileau
Cut Off, LA’s Jimmy “Mad Boxer” Owensby made a successful professional debut as he won a 4-round unanimous decision over Roy Soileau of Ville Platte, LA.


Beard Gets First Victory!
In the opening bout of the night Clinton, LA’s Tafari “2 Pieces” Beard won his first professional bout as he scored a 2nd round TKO over Russelville, AR’s Tyler Parsons.
