

Butler Stops Greeley!
Alonzo “Big Zo” Butler (18-0-1) remained undefeated after Anthony Greeley (10-10-2) declined to come out of his corner to start the 4th round. The Butler/Greeley bout was the main event of “Fawl Brawl II”, at the Isle of Capri casino in Lula, MS. The 5-bout card was presented by Prize Fight Boxing.
Butler came out looking to use the jab, but the aggressive Greeley kept coming forward forcing the bigger Butler to fight on the inside for the most part of round 1. Round 2 was quiet different as Butler opened up a little more. He went on to land some powerful shots, some of which turned Greeley’s nose into a bloody mess. In what turned out to be the final round of the fight, “Big Zo” worked the body of the bloody Greeley. Greeley survived the round, but then during the break, his corner motioned to referee Randy Phillips that he no longer wished to continue. After the bout Greeley’s cornerman sited that Andrew had dislocated his knuckle.




Abron Decisions Johnson in Grudge Match!
In the co-feature, which turned out to be a grudge match, hot prospect DeAndrey “Black Diamond” Abron (6-0) scored a bloody, foul-filled, unanimous decision over “Gentleman” James Johnson (18-18-2). This fight was a rematch of their September 10th bout which also took place at the Isle of Capri in Lula, Ms. As the judges’ scorecard showed, Abron controlled the entire bout.. (60-55, 60-54, 60-54)


A. Peterson Breaks Down Bohannon!
Recently ranked prospect (WBC #36 lightweight) Anthony Peterson (14-0) passed his toughest test as a professional with flying colors, as Roy Bohannon (12-4) declined to come out of his corner to start round 5. Bohannon came out looking to be the aggressor, but Anthony Peterson’s jab put a quick end to that. Peterson then started to break down Bohannon with some vicious body shots. In round 4, Peterson caught Bohannon on the ropes, and it looked like Anthony Peterson was going to close the show, but the bell sounded to end the round. Bohannon’s corner decided that they had seen enough and ended the bout before the start of the fifth round.


Manley Edges Robertson!
In a six round heavyweight battle Little Rock, AR’s Alvin “The Man” Manly moved his record to 10-0-2 with a unanimous decision over “Preacher Man” Douglas Robertson (1-3-1). Scores were 58-56, 56-58, 58-56.


Taylor Stays Unbeaten
In the opening bout of the night, light heavyweight Reginald Taylor (3-0) scored a majority decision over Brian Norman (7-3). Both fighters had their moments in this one, but the judges had the final say as they scored it 58-56, 58-56, 57-57.
