It was during the time of the great shift in Cove that the Constables came out of the darkness. The imprisonment by the Mages had over stepped to many bounds. First any known convicts or assassins were taken to the Fyord, the imprisonment tower. Many of which were used for experimentation with the use of magical melding.
However the Mages had felt this was not enough their appetite grew for more subjects. Next they preyed on the common lawbreakers, Thieves. Wit this they had issued out an order to over throw the city and anyone in contact with a thief or a thief themselves was stripped and taken to Fyord.
It finally got to the point to where the low class and poor were shunned in to captivity raising the taxes so high that there was no chance of ever surviving without stealing in some sort. With this the lowest class was taken and gone from the city.
It was then a wish maker A person who wore a Mask had been granted one wish. The walls had fallen to the ground of Fyord and the shackles removed. This is where the change had become. Among the free was a few Demons and Psioncists. The Mages never realized what had hit them. A group of men also came, when the walls were finally broken a small army came through and with that the towers fell and what was once known as Kijarran, was now under the rule of the masked one. The city was then named Cove. The masked leader who had freed us all was named Ruler and Leader of Cove.
Of the army enlisted many went home back to their lives, and helped build the surrounding walls of Cove. But more decided to band together and create a fortress of beings to protect the city. They were given the name Constables. Never showing their faces, never showing emotion handling the laws with a strict fist so that the people could be free to relax and enjoy the gifts of life.
Cove became a Safe Haven to thieves and assassins.
We are to protect them and keep the peace among the city.
Of those that stayed. The Mask Ruler of Cove assembled those left from the war that wanted to carry out the iron fist for freedom and here we stand now. The Constables.
