As a Birth Professional I am about client choice, I do not make decisions for you or your partner, I am a only the Guiding voice. I am capable of helping you find the answers you require and to support you in the decisions you make throughout your pregnancy and labour.
I am willing to meet with you several times in the prenatal period to discuss your birth plan, goals, fears and concerns. Also I would be willing to demonstrate comfort measures, such as massage, relaxation and birth positions.
I am available to you by phone and email 24hrs a day from the time I am hired until I am with you in labour to discuss any concerns or questions you may have. I am strongly connected to the birthing community, so if I do not have the answer I can certainly find someone who does.
I will labour with you where ever you choose (home or hospital). I will provide continuous support throughout your labour, childbirth and immediate postpartum.
Immediate Postpartum
I will help to initiate Breastfeeding within to first (1st) hour of delivery, when possible.
I stay with you and your family for up to 2 hours after the birth of your baby.
Home Visitation: I offer 2 postpartum visits, upon your request. You must provide at minimun 2 days notice for the visit and please specify if there is any specific you require or would like to discuss.
Phone Contact: I am available to take your calls up to 2 months after birth to answer any related questions. Although any medical questions should to be relayed to your health care provider.
You also have access to a wide vary of relaxation tools, CDs, videos, books and handouts. They must be returned in a timely manner or you maybe charged to replace them.
The Fee for this Doula Service is: $900.00. If you require financial assistance please do not hesitate to discuss that with me.
