The Roll of Merit is a program where by you tally points from all the shows your Gubbera Park bred horse has competed in and at the conclusion of the year you forward your total points to me. The horse/s with the highest scores achieve their Roll of Merit (with some other placings for runner up).
- Only horses that have been bred by Gubbera Park are eligible for this program
- Eligibility is proven by the use of your GP number and the name of your horse and stud
- Registration is required - email me with your GP number, stud name, horse name and section
- Prizes for ROM winners may and can include ROM certificate, and a stablemate or hand-made prop (eg plants or witches hats) or tack (eg halter), depending on availability. It (the award) will be easily post able
- Please note that you are responsible to accumulating points on your horses' behalf & getting the points to me
- Points are accumulated from the 1st of January to the 31st Dec 2008
- Points must be in by 20th January 2009
- Cheating will not
be accepted. Those who attempt to cheat will be stripped of their
breeding and all association with Gubbera Park will be canceled
Roll of Merit Sections
Your horse is eligible for one section only, no matter if they are aging or non-aging. A non aging horse would remain in the same section, an aging horse would move up into the Mature section as they age. Please make sure you have your horse in the correct section. If in doubt, please ask when you register.
- Young Stock - newborn to 3 years old
- Mature Stock - 4 years & onwards
ROM Standard Points
Note it is your choice to use points from the club you show in if they have point systems, OR to use this point system; we have this system here as some clubs do not accumulate points.
Points are scored as follows:
- Each horse in the placings from 1-10 gets one point for every other exhibit it has beaten in that class.
- Unplaced horses do not receive points.
- Honorable Mention (at class level placings only) – 3 only
- If your horse is placed at 4 - 10, they get 1 point for all the horses they have beaten - however, if your horse placed at 4 - 10 and their were no other horses, they get 1 point for participating
- 1st place - five bonus points
- 2nd place - three bonus points
- 3rd place - one bonus point
Section championships are usually for larger shows, and may include Gender Section Champion, Breed Section Champion, etc....
- Section Champion – 35
- Section Reserve Champion – 20
- Show Champion – 40
- Reserve Show Champion - 25
- Supreme Champion – 60
- Reserve Supreme Champion – 45
