GT CUTTING BOARDS

Cutting Board Care Instructions

Thank you for your patronage.

All of our cutting boards are a work of art and should be displayed as such, but if you wish to use it, then here are the instructions to keep it looking great.

First, NEVER put a cutting board in the dishwasher, the heat of the water will ruin it.

We recommend that you not cut raw meat or anything else that can leave bacteria on the boards.

Once you are done cutting,  you may use a little dish soap and scrub if necessary, but make sure you rinse it well in cool water.    Then use a clean, dry dish towel, wipe the board dry, and place on display.

Occasionally, your board will need to be re-oiled to protect the wood. When it is time, use mineral oil with a clean rag and rub on a coat and let dry.  Do not use any vegetable oils, for they will turn rancid, and especially don't use motor oil.

And last but not least, enjoy your cutting board.
