We help to create the perfect wedding day.

To make your wedding day perfect, we work closely with you to discuss the finest details that relate to our part of the event. From the time we set up our equipment, to the first dance, to you and your partner leaving for your honeymoon, we strive for perfection. As it is the most important day of your life our aim to ensure that you and all other guests have a very memorable time. We have extensive experience in providing the best music to create the right mood for you and your guests.

We feel it is essential to fully understand all your wedding requirements so prior to booking with us you can take advantage of our FREE consultation service. You can meet your DJ in person and discuss your ideas, or we can assist you by presenting fresh and innovative ideas to you. We will even bring our music collection along so you can listen and choose the music to be played, and select that all important "first dance". In addition we can show you some photographs of weddings we have catered for in the past and the range of equipment available for your big day.

Unlike other mobile discos we play the music you ask us to play and combine this music with all our favourite party tracks. This is organised using the playlist attached to the booking form which you will be sent when booking with us. Simply use the playlist to choose all your favourite songs. The playlist can be as long or as short as you like and can include your family members' favourite songs and even the times you would prefer these songs to be played. 

On top of all this is our top quality P.A. equipment (see Equipment).

We tailor our equipment to best suit the size of your venue. This equipment is top of the range equipment and as we work as a full time business we regularly clean and service our gear so it looks great at your venue. In addition back up equipment is also transported to your wedding venue for extra peace of mind. Since our business began back in 1994 we have never had to cancel an event before finnishing time due to equipment failure.

Our highly experienced wedding DJ's will be on hand to play some great party and sing-a-long tracks. They will be dressed smartly for the occasion and will even mingle with guests to create a relaxed and friendly atmousphere. You'll be very impressed by the end of the night.

 

Birthday Parties

Like the above in Weddings we offer a request system to ensure you have a great birthday. So if it's your 21'st, 30th, 40th 50th, 60th or 70th birthday party we promise to play any music that you and your guests ask for. Why not use our Live Texting Service? During your party we will provide you with a number you that your guests can text. This is a great way for you and your guests to get interactive with our DJ's. You can send text messages, music requests and dedications to our DJ's who will be happy to read them out. It's a quick way to get songs played and anonymous messages are great fun for your guests. 

Together with your requests we tailor our music to suit you and your guests. We have a vast number of tracks available from the 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's and 00's to Scottish Caileidh music, Rock, Pop, Country and the latest chart hits.

We use professional DJ equipment all tailored to suit the size of your venue (see Equipment), and a professional party DJ with bags of experience, a great personality and one that scrubs up not too bad either!!

As with any event we cater for we offer a FREE consultation service. We recognise that organising a party can be stressful at times and so we can meet you to discuss all your party requirements including your favourite songs, what lighting you would like and even how you would like our DJ's to dress (DJ Tony Quirke has been known to dress up in his favourite Scooby Doo outfit on numerous occasions!!!!!). At G*Star we do everything we can to make your birthday party one to remember.

Corporate/Outdoor Events

At G*Star we regularly provide entertainment for both corporate and outdoor events.

Our P.A. systems are tailored to suit larger events looking to create a great atmousphere for up to 600 guests. We have 1100 watt systems up to 4000 watt systems that offer excellent sound and clarity. Ideal for any occasion. This equipment can also be combined to produce even more sound if the event is larger than expected, all this at very affordable prices.

When booking your kids party with us you can do so confident in the knowledge that the DJ you book will be covered by Disclosure Scotland. (You can find out more information on this subject in the Links & Extras page.)

Whatever the age whatever the occasion we combine fun and games with a friendly party DJ to ensure all children attending have a great time. Depending on the duration of your children's party we can organise games to last all day and be suited to the children's age.

DJ Workshops/Tutoring

At G*Star we work closely with local councils, charities and recording studios from across central Scotland to deliver DJ workshops. These workshops involve instructing both adults and kids on how to become a DJ and how to operate DJ equipment including turntables, cd players, mixers, effects units, lighting rigs and music production software.

Great fun is had by all and as well as trying state of the art DJ equipment students are able to produce their own music and record their very own mixed cd's.
