G*Star Mobile Discos

At G*Star we use only the best in audio and visual DJ equipment. It would be fair to say that our mobile disco units are amoung the most impressive disco units in Scotland. All of this equipment is PAT tested so you know that not only will it be safe around your guests it will also never break down during your event.

We tailor our equipment to suit the size and shape of your venue and the number of guests attending. If you require a large disco set up for outdoor events or larger venues, or a smaller set up for a children's party then this can all be arranged.

We have performed at most of the popular venues around Scotland however, after booking your event with us we will assess your venue and supply the equipment that would look and sound best.

Below are examples of the rigs that we use.

Rig 1 (Bronze Disco)

This small set up is ideal for kids parties and smaller events. Although this is our smallest rig this would be classed as a large rig by many of our competitors.

Using a 1.1K sound system by Peavey and Numark, and lighting from Abstract and Martin this mobile disco set up looks and sounds great and will create the right party atmousphere for all your guests. Optional extras with this set up include bubble machines and smoke machines.

    

Rig 2 (Silver Disco)

This medium set up is suitable for any event up to 150 guests such as weddings, birthdays, engagements and anniversaries. The sound system used here is by American producers Mackie. These speakers produce crystal clear sound even at very high volumes. They also have built in amplifiers with limiters to ensure they will never fail during a gig.

Two large 8 foot T-Bar stands hold 4 LED par cans and 2 lighting effects each and produce a great lighting display. With added smoke this set up adds style to any event.

Rig 3 (Gold Disco)

This set up is suitable for events such as weddings, large birthday parties, engagements, out door events and roadshows of up to 200-300 guests. Using a combination of JBL speakers and Numark amplifiers it's 2000 watt capacity is guaranteed to sound great at any venue.

A large 3 metre "Goal Post" stand holds all mood and effects lighting. A total of 15 lighting fixtures are used in this rig making it one of the best around. With 2 added smoke machines as standard this set up will give any event a great party atmousphere.                       

Rig 4 (Platinum Disco)

If you require a serious sound and lighting show for your event then look no further. This rig uses JBL speakers and Crown amplifiers which are loud enough to cater for up to 600 guests. Even at very high volumes the sound produced is crisp and clear. Sub speakers are used which enables us to enhance the bass produced which is particularly useful when playing dance or RnB music. These sub speakers are linked to "top" speakers which handle the middle and high frequencies. Altogether the sound produced by this equipment will blow you away. 

A total of 17 lighting effects are used on our 5 metre trussing stand and are linked to a DMX controller which gives us total control over our lights. Using our Acme Spotknight "moving head" lights we can follow individuals around the dancefloor. We often use these lights when performing at weddings to highlight the bride and groom during that all important first dance. Other lighting fixtures include Abstract scanners, Acme Dynamo Party scanners, Abstract Twisters, UV canons LED Effect Lights and LED par cans. When combined with smoke these lights will give your event that "nightclub" feel.

This is a serious system and definately one of the best in Scotland.

    

Extras

At G* Star we can also provide Turntable & PA packages for DJ workshops, Hip Hop, RnB, House or Old School events. This includes the following equipment with any combination of the above rigs depending on the size of the event -

• Decks - 2 x Technics SL1210 Mark 2 vinyl turntables.
• Mixer - Pioneer DJM 500 4 channel DJ mixer with built in beat counter and effects unit.

Please note that the above are examples of the rigs we own and use. A combination of any piece of the equipment from any rig can be tailored to suit the size of your venue.

This equipment is fully PAT Tested and is regularly cleaned and serviced.
