David Blaine and Target have teamed up to help charity! Mr. Blaine will spin for 2 days shackled and then have to unshackle himself just in time for the "Black Friday Sale" at Target. Target will help 100 families with a wonderful shopping spree if David can make it to the sale. The Salvation Army is the charity involved with the 100 needy families. David Blaine traveled to Israel this past Tuesday an plans to stay there for five days. Mr. Blaine will perform magic for wounded soldiers, children and families in shelters, also in Jewish camps. Mr. Blaine wants to bring some joy to the lives of many in Israel who have suffered from the fighting with Hezbolloah!

The summer reading program, that David Blaine is a spokesperson for, is offering an exciting reward! Eleven hundred libraries are participating in the incentives program, that goes with reading this summer! Each child is to write an essay, paint a picture or create a collage, on the book they read. They enter their finished product in the contest, and the winners will have lunch in New York, with Mr. Blaine.

It seems Mr. Blaine is on the move! He is preparing to do something, on the Brooklyn Bridge. "This has been a lifelong dream" says David. The Brooklyn Bridge is 135 feet above the East river. He has bee eating well to gain back all weight that was lost during "Drowned Alive." One can only imagine what he will be doing, on the Brooklyn Bridge! Mr. Blaine has also been working on his documentary about the "Jungle" to disprove myths about how dangerous animals and humans can coincide together. Good Luck David!

Well Mr. Blaine has been busy this week. David is this years spokesperson for the summer reading program, at Queens Library in New York. He appeared at the library on Tuesday. David did magic tricks with a group of children from Saint Michael's school, and spoke of his reading experiences. David told the kids he learned magic from reading! He also gave decks of cards to the children. David told the children he hopes all read this summer, as he plans to do reading also. You can read more on this article from the link below.

David Blaine was in England this past weekend. He was at a charity bash at Beckingham Palace for "The Beckhams." A kickoff for Worldcup! David then made his way to GMTV Monday morning. He spoke about "Drowned Alive" which will air on May 27, 2006 in England. I have two links for the interview. The first link takes you directly to the interview, and you choose your connection speed. I have read on several websites "The Magic Man" plans to live in harmony with exotic animals in the jungle! He spoke with the New York Post and says he will be alone, only with his own crew. There are reports of India and Africa. Either way I am surprised and shocked. The purpose of this is what? I hope there is more to the story, or the story isn't true! This is not on his official website, so we shall see. I really like Mr. Blaine but this in my opinion has nothing to do with magic, and has more to do with survival. I am all for this, but he might have to change his title of profession. I see the magic is being able to survive and become one with wild lions but, David there are tribes that do this! Will this new performance be called "David and Goliath?" It seems from the main article in The Post these plans were made before he went into the "sphere." While on Larry King Live he stated he was going to do something that would take him from point A to point B. Decisions do change so hopefully he has made a different one. I also might add it was stated that he would walk on wire in New York during Halloween this past year, but he did not do so.

Well David Blaine was on Larry King Live last nite, I am sad I missed it. You can go to his website and read the transcript! Very nice read, and there is something new in the works!!! WTG Can't keep a good man down! It sounds very dangerous. I think differently on the aspect that you are not born with the dare-devil gene. I believe it is in you from birth. Your mind can be taught, but then there is the courage and strength. I think some have this from birth. A learned lesson is not a given lesson, and for some it is a given!!!!!!!! I would be curious to know what Davids I.Q. is? Well the " Magic Man" soon rides again. His website is listed in a story below this one.

David Blaine appears on Good Morning America this morning looking very good. His hands have recovered nicely compared to 2 days ago. I was happy to here him say he will not be doing the performance agian the way it was done on May 08, 2006. His skin was damaged due to the sun reflecting on to the sphere. He was in good spirits, and looking great as always! It was nice to see a smile and glad to know that he is finally out of the sphere. I was very stressed watching the performance and thought of him frequently during those seven days. If I had been able to actually see him in the sphere, I know myself and my family would have camped out, for those seven days. David has tremendous indurance. This speaks volumes about the control he has over his mind in painful situations. We should all take lessons from him on overcomming a situation , you never know when you might be in a situation that requires the same mind stability, and will-power! You are Extraordinary !!!

Reports are David Blaine is out of the hospital and safely at home!! yea!! On a different note approx 18,000,000 viewers tuned in for last nites show. WTG David!!I have been doing research all day on Mr. Blaine he is quite the talk more than 13,000,000 types of info on him just on one search. So Mr. Blaine if you ever read this consider yourself a superb magician with that many viewers I would say you have allot of fans. Looks like after you feel better maybe you should do a tour so everyone can enjoy your magic!!!!!

DROWNED ALIVE
This is a personal comment for all reports of his failure to break the world record on May 8th 2006 for holding his breath under water. I say lets see someone else do this. I keep reading that he failed, in my book he succeeded. Let us not forget he added to that record attempt by staying submerged under water for 7 days! Oh, and then there are the chains,so all in all he is a true success! David broke the record for the longest time spent under water, instead of writing about failure, how about some success here. This is a personal note to you David " You are a true success, I doubt you will see anyone else step up to the plate and try this, but only report about what did not happen. I think coming out of this with your life is the total package, life is more important than anything else, if you are dead you can't mystify us anymore, and that would be truly sad!" I think Mr. Blaine is a great illusionist and the crowds show that. Its like, lets say something bad, but lets go see it! How funny is that!!!!!!!!!!!
