"Did You Say Cloned Beef ViaGen"

September 21, 2006

Did you say cloned beef for dinner? An embryologist working for ViaGen in Austin, Texas has cloned half a dozen cows from strips of beef. ViaGen test the quality of the beef before bringing it back to life. This meat through the food chain would eventually make it to your dinner table. The FDA has to approve this technical procedure first before passing it on to the consumer. The cloning comes from dead animals. This is the best way to find the most outstanding traits. To clone a piece of meat the tissue sample has to be taken within 48 hours. How so will you be eating cloned meat?

Comments: I think this is terrible! I will become a vegetarian, I will never eat cloned meat.  I don't think I want a dead cows clone, as my dinner!

" PC Use To Fight Malaria"

August 12, 2006

A new project  titled MalariaControl.net http://www.malariacontrol.net/  are using PC's everywhere to model affects and possible treatments of this disease. MalariaControl is asking volunteers to download software that runs on PC's while computers are idle. The software will model Malaria transmission and possible treatments. MalariaControl says the software works like SETI software! MalariaControl will be done in a few months thanks to thousands of volunteer PC users. This would have taken 40 years but thanks to all it will only take a few months. This program was developed by the Swiss Tropical Institute and released publicly a few weeks ago entitled Africa@home. Africa@home allows peoples PC'S to aid in helping humanitarian crisis. There are 500 million Malaria cases each year and majority are in Africa. Malaria is transferred by  a parasite called Plasmodium Falciparium which is transmitted from person to person by mosquitoes. Thus these computer simulations are aid in in showing how Malaria spreads to help in further study and treatment of Malaria. Most of the volunteers computating power comes from Europe and North America. Africa@home has high hopes of getting African students and scientists involved in next phase of the study!

"The Fight Is On Against Malaria"

August 12, 2006

Malaria is out of control in Africa! Experts are going to bring back the pesticide DDT(dichloride-diphenyl-trichloroethane). DDT was first developed around World War II. It was widely used to combat Malaria. In May U.S. Agency for International Development endorsed DDT for indoor use, to treat Malaria in Africa. WHO(World Health Organization) is expected to indorse DDT also. The pesticide was used in the United States between 1942 and 1972. The pesticide saved many lives, but damaged ecosystems and wildlife. The Bald Eagle, the United States symbol was greatly affected. This bird is just again starting to thrive!  DDT can affect humans also. Pregnant mothers can have premature births. Baby's may also have low I.Q.s's, and receive DDT in their mothers milk. More studies have to be done to see total affects on humans. DDT was banned in 1972 by the Environmental Protection Agency, also agricultural use was banned. Now, for indoor use only small amounts would be used unlike earlier years. Only house walls would be sprayed, providing a blocker for homes. Also DDT acts as a repellant. Malaria strikes the poorest areas of the world, therefore Africa is in need of help!

"From Geneticly Modified Food To Nano Food"

August 06, 2006

Think G E Frankenfoods are scary well now there is nanofoods. Here is a portion of the article. This is a must read.

"Nanoforum, a group from Europe, says in its recent report on Nanotechnology in Agriculture and Food that food is nanofood when "nanotechnology techniques or tools are used during cultivation, production, processing, or packaging of the food. It does not mean atomically modified food or food produced by nanomachines." Although the definition seems to be artificially narrow with this exclusion, it still gives a good idea of how much food will be nanofood in the future.

The second Nano4Food Conference is around the corner. According to the conference webpage, nanotechnology will be able to solve a variety of problems in the food industry by enabling increases in productivity and cost-effectiveness; providing better food processing, packaging and logistics; helping in the design of new healthier and tastier products; and providing better food safety and quality assurance

"Seafood Used As A Band-aid"

July 17, 2006

A new way to stop bleeding has come to the forefront of health!  A long enjoyed seafood can act as a blood clotting agent. The new pourable band-aid is call Celox. Celox is a granular compound that is taken from shrimp shells. Celox can be poured into a wound, and form a puddy like block on the wound. Celox gives a positive charge from the granules. This counter acts from the negative charge that red blood cells give, thus blocking blood flow. It takes 5 minutes to stop up a wound. Celox could be helping soldiers by the end of the year!

"Electric Producing Bacteria"

July 15, 2006

Yurbi Gorby a microbiologist discovered that a microbe which transforms toxic metals can produce electrically conductive wires, from its cell membrane. A colleague heard of what Mr. Gorby was able to do, he to was also able to coax nanowires from a metal reducing bacteria species. He also suggests these wires called (pili)could be useful in bioengineering electrical devices. It also turns out that bacteria that is fermented and photosynthesis can produce more more wires under a variety of conditions.

Man Uses Mind To Make Things Move"

July 14, 2006

A paralyzed man who has electrodes planted in his brain can move things! This special sensor has given the man capability to move a computer cursor, open email, grasp candy with a robotic arm, and open and close a prosthetic arm with just his mind. The gentleman was also able to turn the sound up on a television while speaking. The new device will be called BrainGate, and the co author is John Donoghue. BrainGate was developed by Mr. Donoghue and his students at Brown University. Cyberkinetics Neurotechnology Systems also helped in development of BrainGate. This new sensor hopefully will be available by 2008. This could aid in helping paralyzed people function again, in certain areas. Ninety Six electrodes were implanted into the 25 year old mans motor cortex. Three other patients with spinal cord injuries have received the implant. BrainGate is still in the trial phase, there are things to work on still. The team saw a drop off of functionality in the sensor within six months. This is probably due to a short circuit Mr. Donoghue states. One patient had signal activity for 11 months. The team plans to make BrainGate wireless, automated and miniature.

"Migraine News"

June 26, 2006

Migraines may be a thing of the past if Yousef Mohammad, from Ohio State University has anything to do with them! A new device the TMS may interrupt what is known to be the Aura phase, of a migraine. Usually 30 minutes before a migraine most patients see flickers of light a fuzziness or possibly even shooting stars. This is the onset of the migraine. TMS may disrupt the Auroa before the migraine happens. A strong electric current  creates a magnetic pulse when held near a persons head. Thus affecting the Aura, before the throbbing migraine starts. This electric current effects the neurons in the brain, but allowing the patient to feel no pain while using the TMS. Yousef Mohammad says "patients feel a little pressure" and that is it! Less side affects from the migraines were noticed in the studies so far. More studies are in the works at Ohio State University Medical Center. This little device is also aiding to help in areas of depression, post traumatic stress and tinnitus. The FDA has not approved TMS yet.

Morgellons Disease:

This is not on the MSM but it is all over the web. Morgellons Disease is showing up in different areas. You must read all links to this article, then google the name for allot more images. I will just say is this a bioengeneered worm in the cotton? Could this come from Chemtrails? Well I don't know. I did the cuetip test with a microscope saw some strange blobs that were not normal. I can say, maybe if they stop spraying the sky(chemtrails) things might be better. Hello all those lines in the sky are not from commercial planes. The lines in the sky today make clouds, rainbows, and drop white springy stuff. Is this where Morgellons comes from. This story is a must read! I suggest in the daytime.
