Lighting
Lighting is 48" Custom Sea Life power compacts with moonlights. There are 2-65 watt 10,000k daylight bulbs,  2-65 watt actinics and 4-1 watt moon lights. This gives me 4.7 watts per gallon.  The lights were obtained from Marine Depot for $285. The price includes shipping. I Love the ripple effect on the bottom of the tank when only the moonlights are on.

Moonlights

The lighting cycle is set so that at 10:00 a.m. the actinics come on. At 11:00 a.m. the daylights come on. The daylights run until 10:00 p.m. The actinics run until 11:00 p.m. The moonlights come on at 11:00 p.m. and stay on until 10:00a.m.

Sump

This is a Life Reef  CLF-1 Sump.
The return pump is a RIO 2500.

Skimmer
Life Reef VS2-24 Protien Skimmer

This skimmer is one of the best I've seen.
The folks at Life Reef really make some nicely crafted stuff.
The pump powering the skimmer is a RIO 2500.

u-tube modification

This is a modification I made to the u-tube to keep the tank from flooding in the event of a power outage. I simply drilled a hole in the top of the u-tube and connected an air line to the venturi of a Hagan power head. If the siphon breaks in the u-tube when the power goes out, the power head will pull all of the air out of the tube when the power comes back on restarting the siphon.

Drain modification
The noise from the overflow box was absolutely the most annoying thing in the world. So after doing a little research, I found the solution to the constant toilet flushing sound that it made. In the drain line from the overflow box to the sump I placed a simple 1" ball valve. (from Home Depot) By restricting the flow to the sump slightly the water level in the back of the overflow box keeps the bulkhead submerged and the is no more air introduced into the drain line.

Stand
The stand is a DIY made from plans found on the GARF website. The only modification made to this design is the shell of the stand is a three sided piece that removes from the stand for more complete access to the sump and equipment.

More pictures will be posted soon as the stand is not yet finished. Too much money spent on getting things for the tank.
