This page is dedicated to my 20 gallon reef

The tank is a 20 gallon long AGA aquarium 30x12x12. The back is painted light blue with enamel spray paint. The current filtration consists of a 3-1/2" southdown sand bed and 35 pounds of  live rock. The rock is actually tufa rock that came out of my 55 gallon reef after it had become heavily  encrusted with coralin algae and various other life forms including sponges, vermetid gastropods, worms, featherdusters, amphipods, copepods and mysiss shrimp.
Lighting the tank is a dual 55 watt pc retrofit fired by a workhorse 5 ballast, that is all fit into a DIY hood with a 3-1/2" computer fan wired in to keep the tanks temp at around 78 degrees year round.
Water movement is provided by a Zoomed 214 powersweep and a Skilter 250 that has had the skimmer section removed and is used for running carbon and filter floss for water polishing.
