This is my baby. His name is Beaver and he's about 7 years old. I
adopted him about from a shelter near where I live in
Westchester. Beaver had been living in the shelter for about three
months before I got him. He had been abused severely. His teeth were
kicked out, he had had battery acid thrown on him and he was living on
the street under a car. He didn't trust people at all, but when I
walked into the shelter, he immediately took to me. I was the only
person who ever walked into the shelter that Beaver trusted. I adopted
him that day.
He's my angel. Once he gets to know you, he is a
real sweetheart. It took him a long time to begin to trust people
again, but he's finally come around although sometimes he gets scared,
especially with people he doesn't know. And that's my baby:)
