December 10th- Greensboro Keller Quick 21. USCF Quick Rated G/5 DRR 5 or 6 rounds, depending on turnout and if we have enough time. Entry Fee: $3.
December 17th- Casual Play.
December 24th- CLUB CLOSED due to Christmas holiday.
December 31st- CLUB CLOSED due to holiday break.

The last few meetings have been pretty average with about 6-8 people coming out for casual play and also for the past Quick chess tournament. I hope everyone is enjoying the casual play nights. As most of you may already know, the club will be closed this Thursday due to the Thanksgiving holiday. Also, the 2010 NC Grand Prix kicked off a few weeks ago, and im encouraging everyone to play as much as possible. The prizes this year are awesome, and everyone has a chance to win something. I have added the chesscentral link at the top of the page, and they have everything from books to software! Be sure to check it out. Sorry its been so long since ive updated the site, but hopefully now with the holiday breaks coming up, it shouldnt be a problem. I hope to see everyone after the Thanksgiving holiday for some more chess action. Don't eat too much . . .
One last note: I have been very laid back about people's cell phones going off during tournament play, but as of recently, I have been hearing an increase of cell phones going off. From now on, if any players cell phone goes off during a tournament game and I can hear it, then that player will receive a TIME PENALTY. Remember guys, this is a USCF rated tournament, so treat it as if you were at any other tournament. Thanks.
