Greengate Mall Revisited is dedicated to the preservation and commemoration of the historic landmark that once stood in Greensburg, Pennsylvania. Our extensive resources include a comprehensive history section, an alphabetical listing of mall tenants, memorabilia items and a large collection of over 130 pictures that date back from the mall's construction to its demise.

News and Updates
7/2/09 - Our upcoming website, Main Street Memories, will debut this fall. Visit our updated Main Street Memories page for more information.
6/23/09 - The Lease Plans photo gallery has been added to the Photos page. Within this gallery are two new lease plans of Greengate Mall, which were recreated by Gary Nelson.
6/16/09 - We're continuing to improve the history content on our website. In addition, the fourth page of the history section titled A Growing Threat has been added.
5/26/09 - A photo gallery of various antique cars on display at Greengate Mall can now be viewed on the Auto Shows section of the Photos page.
5/20/09 - The Budweiser Clydesdales' Appearance photo gallery has been recently added to the Photos page. We've also added a new web poll on the right-hand side of the screen.
4/30/09 - The Life Within The Walls page is now available, complete with two new photos of the mall. Also, the Changes Through Time page has undergone various improvements.
2/28/09 - Overall improvements to the history section are ongoing. In the meantime, check out the Pre-Mall Era and the Planning and Development pages.
In other news, we are in the process of creating a new history website commemorating Oakford Park, which is a defunct amusement park/swimming pool once located near Jeannette, Pennsylvania. Since this attraction was most likely frequented by many of our website's visitors, we can use the general public's help in obtaining any historical photos and information about the park. Anyone who is willing to help out may contact the Webmaster at neurodistortion@aol.com.
1/15/09 - A few names of various tenants have been added to the Store Directory page.
1/3/09 - The Planning and Development page has been added. We're working to improve our history content and in the process, strengthen our position as a comprehensive resource. We're also adding new photos throughout the site, some of which has never been released to the public. Likewise, the Photos page should be updated shortly with new pictures.
11/17/08 - Our website has a new design, and as with any changes, some things may appear out of place. Assuringly, this will be taken care of promptly. In addition, the Store Directory and Greengate Centre pages have been updated.
3/3/08 - Greengate Mall Revisited now has its own domain name: www.greengatemallrevisited.com. Also, the photo gallery will be redesigned to allow photo albums, which is required if we want to continue adding more photos to the website. As always, if anyone has any pictures of Greengate Mall, please contact us so that we could add it to the site.
5/7/07 - The forums have been launched! Feel free to discuss about Greengate Mall, among other things. Registration is required to participate.
12/3/06 - For the first time in over four months, the website has been updated. We've added about a half dozen stores on the Store Directory page, including Foot Locker, Cooper's Watchworks and Rax. A new voting poll and a new photo were also added to the Home page. Finally, we've changed the design for this site, which was supposed to happen at the beginning of January 2007 but it was in our best interests to do it now. The last time that it was changed was at the beginning of this year. The Site Analysis page is also underway for completion, and a new page on the biography of James Rouse is coming soon, so keep checking back for updates.
7/22/06 - A chat room has been added to the site, which can be accessed by clicking on the Chat Room page link. Chat with other people who also have an interest in Greengate Mall history. The Webmaster's name is greengatemallrevisited.
7/18/06 - The Store Directory page has been updated.
4/7/06 - New photo of the demise of Greengate's Lazarus store now on the Photos page. Also, if anyone has accessed the site within the past few weeks, then an advertisement page was shown because we ran out of bandwidth. While it may be an inconvenience to some, there is no possible way to eliminate the page whenever we run out of bandwidth, unless we buy more of it. So, that's what we've done, and hopefully, that'll eliminate any future problems.
2/28/06 - More names of tenants has been added to the Store Directory page.
2/6/06 - Congratulations to the Pittsburgh Steelers for winning Super Bowl XL! This was definitely 26 years in the making!
In other news, the History page has been updated with new information. Also, a new section will eventually be added to this site, which will be titled Site Analysis. More information regarding this upcoming page will be given when the next update is released.
1/15/06 - The History page has been updated with new information.
1/13/06 - The Changes Through Time page has been recently added to the site.
A visitor of our site has sent us an e-mail, telling us that it appears as if there's a human face on the far right side of the Lazarus building. Now, Gary Nelson took the picture as he was travelling west on Route 30, and it wasn't edited in any way, so if anyone has an explanation to this, we would like to hear from you. Take a look at the pictures below, and if you have any idea what it might be, feel free to write a comment in our guestbook, or you may send Gary an e-mail at neurodistortion@aol.com.
1/2/06 - Hope you all are having a great new year! Speaking of that, we've changed the design of this website so that it's more pleasing to the eyes. Also, content such as pictures and a new section will be added eventually, which will be about how the area around the former Greengate Mall has changed throughout the years.
Since pictures are very important to this website, if anyone has any pictures of Greengate Mall, and it doesn't matter whether it's a picture of a store in the mall or just a fountain, just as long as it's related to Greengate, please contact us so that we could add it to the site.
10/23/05 - New pictures related to Christmas at Greengate have been added to the Photos page. The Future page has also been updated.
7/15/05 - An incomplete list of tenants has been added on the bottom of the History page. The Photos page has been updated again with new material.
If anyone has some pictures of the aviary that was inside the mall in the 70s, contact the Webmaster at neurodistortion@aol.com. The website needs more pictures! A website renovation is also underway, with maybe a new domain name, so keep checking back for updates.

7/6/04 - We will be opening to the public in a few weeks. We still have to add a guestbook, a few more pictures, and some other information.
