Caught In the Avalanche

Well, that'd be me, the creator of this website. I thought you might want to know about the person behind the articles and work on this website.

Outside my passion for sports, I have a big passion for writing and reading. Whether it's poems, stories or sports blogs/articles for my site and fan blog on NHL.com, I enjoy writing. I have been writing stories since I was in first grade (and there's a long story, but I actually got in trouble for a story I wrote back then involving an unusual punishment my parents handed out to the cat who got up on the dinner table and ate my brother's dinner, so it's a miracle I still enjoy writing!). I also enjoy photography, but it's definitely just something I do for fun. When people ask me why I won't become a professional writer or photographer, I tell them it's because I love doing those things. Sometimes when you love something, you don't want to do it as a job because then it might eventually stop being fun and just be work, and I don't want that to happen!

My favorite sport is hockey and my favorite team if you haven't guessed by now is the Colorado Avalanche. My favorite college team is the University of Denver Pioneers. Of the Centeral Hockey League (CHL) my favorite team is the defending champion Colorado Eagles who are conveniently located a few miles south of CSU on I-25. I am also a big fan of football. You know my favorite college team is the CSU Rams because I went to school there and my favorite NFL team is...you guessed it, the Denver Broncos! If you're sensing a theme here, you can probably guess where I've spent most of life.

I was actually born in Anchorage, Alaska. Before you even ask, no I didn't live in an igloo and the only polar bears I've ever seen were in the zoo (trust me, people have asked!), but we did have a baby moose come into our backyard and then momma moose came looking for her baby. Since 1989, I've been living in various suburbs of Denver in Colorado. I love living in Colorado and I especially enjoy visiting the mountains.

I'm sure there's probably more I could tell you about myself, but I think if you've read this far, you've suffered enough .

Okay here we go. You are about to get a look into my Avs collection. This isn't even all of my stuff. There's some pictures, newspaper clippings and hats that I couldn't find as well as a couple collectible glasses.
