Commissions

Have you thought of having a drawing done for a special gift? It's easier than you might think to have one created. All that's needed is a high-quality photograph from which the drawing can be based. Graphite and/or charcoal pencil are used in each piece. Each original drawing is rendered on 100 lb. acid free Bristol board. A fixative is applied to each drawing for preservation and to prevent smudging.

Pricing

I have included examples to show the various types of commissions available and the average pricing for each. The price is agreed to up front so you don't pay more if I happen to take more time than projected. Payment options include cashiers check or money order. Shipping is not included in the price.

Basic Fees

8x10 drawing: $100.00
11x14 drawing: $150.00

NOTE: Basic fees do not include backgrounds or additional subjects.

Additional Subject Fees

8x10 - 1 additional subject add $25
11x14 - 1-2 additional subjects add $30 each

Background Fees

8x10 - add $20:00
11x14 - add $40.00

Payment for Custom Drawings

All orders for custom drawings require a deposit of a minimum of 30% of the drawing price. The balance is due upon approval of your drawing. I will email you a scan of the picture on completion and in the unlikely event that you are not happy with the work you need not pay the remainder of the fee, however I will keep the deposit for my time. Cashiers check or money order accepted. (Please allow 3-5 weeks for completed drawing.)

For more information on how to start this process, simply send me an e-mail with your idea and we can discuss how to get started. Generally, I will ask for a digital copy of the photo you would like to use for the drawing. This digital version can generally serve as the basis for the drawing but occassionally it is helpful to get an original photograph.

What is the process for ordering drawings?

1. Contact me via e-mail to discuss your needs at mirrorgraphite@yahoo.com
2. Photo approval - E-mail photos to me. Photos must be approved by the artist.
3. You will be contacted with the total price for the drawing.
4. Make deposit payment(30% of total) send Money Order.
5. Proof approval - You will receive a proof by e-mail on all portrait drawings.
6. Pay balance of total price via cashiers check or money order. Shipping is extra.
7. Your order ships. The completed piece is mailed inside a high-impact mailing tube. Each shipment is insured for the full amount in case of a shipping error.
