
The works of Joyce Godwin Grubbs include creative non-fiction as well as suspense/mysteries and romantic fiction.
While written as fiction, the novels are filled with real life events and people who were fictionalized to prevent the discovery of their locations and underground lives. These events were part of the author's experience work in her or her life experience. A Word From the Author "WANNA BE" As a "Candidate Wanna Be" I had to give up some "old ways" and become more modern. An ambush make over was performed. Make Over Results This picture below was taken at my most successful fundraiser. It was a Celebrity Auction with donations from, among others; Dolly Partin, Elizabeth Taylor, Clint Eastwood, Burt Lancaster, President Bush (one), Senator Bob Dole, Congressman Tom Tauke, The Cubs Baseball team. Kurt Vonnegut sent a signed book. Linda McCartney (Mrs. Paul), sent an autographed copy of her first Photography Book, And a personal thrill for me was a signed card and momento from Lady Thatcher. There were many more too numerous to mention. I am on the left with a group of wonderful supporters. The Billboard is from my 1987 Campaign for City Council It spotlighted my campaign theme: In touch with the heart of the city. I became known as the "heart in the hand lady" for years to come.
