Would You Believe That It's Already 2009??!!

Greetings and Salutations!  We made it!  2008 brought its ups and downs, but we made it.  And look at all that we accomplished, and all those we helped.  We heeded Jesus' call in so many ways, including feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, but we also collected a boat-load of school supplies for needy kids.  Not only for those in Atlanta and in the USA, but especially for our friends at Maxfield Children's Home in Kingston, Jamaica.  Any time they receive anything, no matter how big or how small, they are truly grateful.  My heart was sincerely touched when one of my friends gave me a cash donation, and told me to put it towards the school supplies for the children of Jamaica.  Though I haven't been to Jamaica (yet), I imagine the eyes of the children -- longing, loving, and waiting for someone to help improve their circumstances.  Every little thing that we do is multiplied by God; our gifts grow exponentially, until all needs are met.  I am so grateful, to be blessed, to be a blessing, and I thank each of you who partnered with me and my church member, Mrs. Joyce Newman, to help these kids.  I am certain that as they mature into adulthood, they will think back to the day when an anonymous benefactor sent them pencils, paper, and something I'd taken for granted -- a dictionary.  Yes, I learned that there are some places where even having a dictionary is a rarity.  Your generosity will help these children to become productive citizens.  Remember, they are our future.

Thank you to everyone who has supported my books. I thought I was satisfied when I finished my first book, then I was tickled pink when I finished the second.  And little did I know, that a mere suggestion by Mrs. Marion Maheia, would turn into a third book.  And before I can hit the road and publicize my third book, I find myself writing a fourth book.  You have given me the courage to continue writing, and singing, and doing whatever else makes others happy.  I thought I would write one little vignette then retire, but you have shown me that the best is yet to come. 
THANK YOU!!!!!!!

Stay tuned, give me a couple of weeks, and I promise, the fourth book will be ready!
