Ferguson - Means "son of Fergus". Fergus is the Anglicized form of FEARGHAS meaning "man of vigour", derived from the Gaelic elements fear "man" and gus "vigour". 2

Vanderbilt - Originally Van de Bylt, from Die Byltye, a nickname given to ship-carpenters in Holland. From the Dutch "Byltye," meaning a little hatchet or bill. 3

Rockwell - Is of Old English origin and its meaning is "rock spring". 4

Height: 4'7 - 6'0

Weight/Body Build: 149; small build.

Hair: Brown; the style varies all the time.

Nervous Habits: It takes a lot to unnerve him, but when he is, he shows no signs of it.

Health: Healthy. Has an extremely fast metabolism that he considers a curse; he considers himself too skinny, but can't gain weight.

Voice: His speaking voice is smooth, soft-spoken, has a beautiful baritone pitch - one of those voices that you could listen to reading the phonebook. His singing voice takes on a more of a tenor tone.

Usual Walking Style: Long strides, looks almost as if he's gliding.

Mannerisms: He often appears not to be listening when he really is and always has to do something with his hands.

Manners/social graces: Coming from an upper class family he maintains the etiquette associated with the class.

Type of clothes/shoes/accessories: Much to his grandparents' chagrin, a pair of jeans and a t-shirt is his signature style and very rarely deviates from it.

Eating habits/mannerisms/tastes: Usually skips breakfast and snacks throughout the day, has very good table manners, loves food, but is a very picky eater.

Greatest Fear(s): Not achieving or, at least, trying to achieve his dreams.

When does he feel the most vulnerable? When he's not performing.

Five words:

Determined - Whatever Graham wants to accomplish he has tunnel vision to get it done. Sometimes he succeeds, sometimes he doesn't, but he always puts 110% into it.

Mysterious - "...and you're the guitarist with mystique." After hearing this line in Camron Crowe's Almost Famous, Graham decided that he would be the guitar player with mystique. Though he's naturally shy, he immediately opens up once he knows a person, but he also likes to keep people guessing - friends or not.

Rebellious - Like his older cousins, Graham doesn't fit the cookie-cutter Rockwell/Vanderbilt stereotype nor does he ever want to. He loves his family dearly, but their ideals are not his ideals and he'll always stand up for what he believes is right.

Independent - With the exception of food and shelter, Graham tries his best to be financially independent. He worked small jobs around the neighborhood to earn his own money, earn his own way in the world. He's a free thinker and depends only on himself for things he considers too important to trust in the hands of anyone but himself.

Artistic - Graham inherited his mother's prodigious talents, but instead of literature he excelled at music and arts. He can learn any instrument he picks up (though he has yet to master a single one) and is constantly expressing himself through various mediums; painting, drawing, writing, etc.

Significant Other: None.

Best Friend: TBD

Who does he live with? He mainly lives with his mother in Nottingham though his father's home is within walking distance so he often stays there or visits for a couple of hours daily.

Relationship with father: Though they had a good relationship, Graham didn't understand his parental situation when he was younger and thought his father didn't love him or want to live with him which wasn't true. Once he understood why things were the way they were, their relationship grew stronger though Warwick is very hard on him about being a career musician. He feels that Graham was given a gift by being a wizard and should do something related to magic.

Relationship with mother: Having always lived with his mother, Graham and Eleanor have a great relationship. They tell each other almost everything and are very much friends as well as mother and son (though she knows when to lay down the law). She's also supportive of his desire to be a musician.

Siblings/Relationships: Only child but is very close to his cousins, especially Karin.

Feelings toward animals: He likes animals, though he doesn't have any pets of his own.

How does he view his family? Abnormal. He loves his family very much (he's very overprotective of his cousins), but he thinks his family is abnormal and doesn't like to talk about them to other people.

How does he view his friends? Friends are sort of a new concept for Graham so although he cares for them deeply, he doesn't always show his appreciation the way he should.

How does his family view him? He's viewed as somewhat a rebel, though this is typical of the offspring of Rockwells (excluding his cousin, Adelaide). However, because he's a wizard, he's expected to succeed more than any Rockwell before.

Who is his hero? He has many musical heroes, but in the top are Freddie Mercury, David Bowie, Jarvis Cocker, and Roger Daltrey.

Blood: Muggleborn

House: Gryffindor

Wand: 10" Ash, Phoenix Tail Feather

Wood - Intelligence, wit, communication, knowledge, curiosity.

The Ash wand is an excellent wood for promoting brain power, aids in communication, intelligence, wisdom, and promotes curiosity. Use this wood to remove mental blockages and aid in the promotion of word use and understanding. It is the wood of the writer, poet, and scholar. Promotes spiritual love and health. Protects against unwanted change. Brings balance to the mind. It is said that warts rubbed on the bark will be absorbed into the tree.

Use for protection from drowning, magickal effectiveness, sea power, and healing. Ash is also used for protection, finding special roots, horse magick, enhances skills of arts and crafts, justice, weather magick, and for working with the magick of cave and wells.

Core - Phoenix tail feather is a popular wand core due to its versatility and power. Its main strength lies in Defense Against the Dark Arts, although its adaptability can wrench it to hexes and jinxes if need be. As with the dragon heartstring core, the phoenix core is common amongst Light Wizards, but its users are not necessarily Light Wizards. This core may specifically impede Dark spells, so it is not common amongst Slytherins. However, it is by far the most common Gryffindor wand core, and is not unusual amongst Ravenclaws and Hufflepuffs.

Wands cored with phoenix tail feathers, are more versatile, not as specialized as the other two magical cores. It is more the degree of power that is decided by the feather. Many of the most powerful wizards, be they good or evil, are cored by Phoenix feathered wands. They are more adept at difficult magic, such as Unforgiveables or Patronus Charms. Holders of other wands can work the charms just as effectively, but it seems to come more naturally to carriers of Phoenix feather wands. Also, the phoenix feather wand seems to be adept at creating shields that could defend against the strongest hexes created by the Dragon Heartstring Wand. Users may be adept at defending themselves using Occulmency.

Good For: Shields, Defense Against the Dark Arts, More Advanced Magic, Occlumency

Boggart: Deafness

Animagus: Fox [Note: Graham is not an animagus.]

Patronus: Weasel

Amortentia: TBD

Quidditch or Dueling: Neither.

Butterbeer or Firewhiskey: Firewhiskey.

Vampire or Werewolf: Vampire.

What he might like to do after Hogwarts? Career musician.

Person he would use the Cruciatus curse on? TBD

Person he would use a love potion on? TBD

Taurus - The Bull. Fixed, earth, yin - Venus - "I HAVE"

Taurus is the second sign of the zodiac and is associated with the neck and throat. Positive characteristics include stamina, patience, practicality, frugality, creativity, a love of beauty and nature, faithfulness, loyalty, determination, sensuality, and affection. Negative characteristics are stubbornness (there's a reason why stubborn people are called bullheaded), materialism, resistance to change, laziness, a terrible temper once aroused, prejudice, and sometimes an unimaginative nature.

These wizards will be less hot headed and apt to charge at windmills than other Gryffindors, for Taurus is an earth sign, and the element of Earth adds a pragmatic streak to even the flightiest of wizards. As with all Taureans, though, if a Gryffindor Taurus is pushed hard enough, she will exhibit a volcanic temper. Gryffindors born under this sign will be exceptionally loyal to their friends, and will have high standards of personal integrity.

Weasel
Genera and species: Mustela nivalis
Collective Term: A sneak of weasels

Weasel personalities are closely related to badgers and skunks, and are suave and disarmingly charming. With their quick minds and lithe physiques, they might appear to be promising companions, but are notorious for the Machiavellian streak that underscores their personalities. Their behavior is motivated by the fact that it is one of the world's smallest carnivores, and while lions and wolves may be able to afford a direct approach in acquiring resources, the smaller personality of the weasel requires more devious tactics. Its survival strategy is based on the manipulation of others and it uses its charm as its chief weapon.

Weasels lack the emotional and spiritual maturity found in the larger carnivores. They are masters of chaos and their above average intelligence allows them to think quite well on their feet. Weasels are attracted to unorthodox environments. Their quick minds are able to take advantage of rapidly changing situations and they'll always emerge with more than their fair share of the booty. They share the same ambitious streak as their cousins the beaver, but their distaste for hard work has them behaving more like their skunk relatives who also resort to chicanery.

They have an uncanny knack of sensing weakness in others and they'll often team up with more successful animal personalities, gaining their trust and then milking them for all they're worth. These relationships are completely one sided. Taking what they need, they soon scuttle off to prey on their next victim. As lawyers, they are the essence of what is wrong with the justice system. Interested only in filling their own pockets, they can be seen on late night TV touting their personal injury services.

Sex is an escape for the weasel that frequently indulges in quick wild fixes, and although it has no shortage of willing partners, it favors connections with its favorite targets: badgers, prairie dogs, and wild cats. The weasel lover is earnest and attentive, with an uncanny ability to make its partner feel as though he or she was the only person in the world. Its appealing shyness and disarming vulnerability heightens the illusion. But, since honesty is an obstacle to its quest for sex, most partners remain unaware of this rascal's true intentions until they've met its wife and kids.

It's impossible to get a straight answer out of a weasel for it simply does not have the inclination to deal with difficult issues, sidestepping them with typical weasel agility. Occasionally though -- in a rush of blood -- it will reveal a fleeting insight into its heart. But out of fear of exposing its true motives, it quickly clams up and regains control.

The Animal In You

Year of the Tiger

Tiger people are difficult to resist, for they are magnetic characters and their natural air of authority confers a certain prestige on them. They are tempestuous yet calm, warm-hearted yet fearsome, courageous in the face of danger yet yielding, soft and mysterious. They enjoy a life full of challenges and unexpected events, like visiting unusual places and meeting interesting or outstanding people. Other people in their area are easily attracted by the tiger's enthusiasm and way of life. Tigers find pleasure in the unpredictable, and while other people would rather make a backward step, they are not afraid to explore the new and unusual. But it is not that simple to interest the Tiger. What they really need is first-hand experience.

Usually open and frank, these people are likely to withdraw and can be aggressive when trapped. As soon as the Tiger has regained their sense of security their confidence also returns, enabling them to set out once more. These people usually tend to trust their instincts, though there is another side of their personality, which assesses situations thoughtfully before they launch any actions. Their friends usually secretly admire their determination and optimism, though sometimes may find it complicated to share the Tiger's enthusiasm and can be pushed away and left behind.

Although Tigers can be courageous and generous friends, if they are not able to achieve what they want, they can be inflexible and self-centered. So if your friend was born in the year of the Tiger, there will be highs and lows in your friendship, but the friendship itself will remain firm.

Ideal jobs for tigers include entrepreneur, military officer, politician, musician, writer, poet, artist, theater director, biological and environmental engineer, stockbroker, athlete, film star, trade union leader, company director, stunt person, explorer, and lawyer.

Love interests for the Tiger are the Dog and Horse.

30 April
Walnut/Box Tree

WALNUT TREE (the Passion) - unrelenting, strange and full of contrasts, often egotistic, aggressive, noble, broad horizon, unexpected reactions, spontaneous, unlimited ambition, no flexibility, difficult and uncommon partner, not always liked but often admired, ingenious strategist, very jealous and passionate, no compromise.

THE BOX TREE, a small evergreen tree, has whitish-green flowers that open during this time of the year. They give off an unusual fragrance that attracts insects for pollination and during April box bushes are surrounded by swarms of tiny flies. It was therefore associated with the end of spring and the beginning of summer.

Those born during the Box sign are noted for their adaptability and versatility. However, they tend to lack a singleness of purpose and powers of concentration need deliberate cultivation. Otherwise, even though they have more creative potential than people born in many other signs, they may not make the most of their talents. Box people generally spread themselves in too many different directions at one time. On the positive side, those born in this sign tend to have a remarkable ability to handle many things at one time.
