Charlie slater is the head of the Slater household, he is an extremly kind perosn who cares a great deal for his family. His "Girls" mean the world to him, and he always does his best by them, and god help anyone that treats them badly. At times Charlie's decisons may seem harsh, but he always did them in the best intrests of his family. The biggest example of this was making wife Viv bring their granduaghter Zoe as their own daughter, in order to give daughter Kat a childhood.
Charlie found it hard to cope after the death of his beloved wife Viv, and a greif striken Charlie moved hoime and came to live in Walford. But since Charlie walked into Walford, he has had shock upon shock from his family. The main one being that he found out the identity of Zoe's biological father, Kat revealed she became pregnant from an incestious rape from Charlie's brother Harry. Charlie was outraged at his siblings behaviour and savagly beat him up and disowned him. Since the death of his wife Viv Charlie hasn't had much romance at all to speak off. He had a breif infatuation with Peggy Mitchell but this never happened as his brother Harry beat him to it. Also Charlie had a few dates with Pat Evans in 05, but the pair decided to just stay close friends.
Charlie can be a very foolish man at times, anger can get the better of him when his girl's unhapiness is involved, this was proved in 2004 when he learnt that Graham Foster had raped his youngest daughter Little Mo, Charlie assaulted Graham and was later sent to jail on ABH charges. He was later freed when the Slaters gave Graham 10 grand to Graham, at first Charlie was outraged that his family had undermined him and made him look a fool, as it went against his morals, but he eventually forgave his family. He has recently seen dughater Lynne and grandaughter Zoe leave Walford, and so is even more protective of duaghters Kat and Little Mo, and his great neice Stacey.

Mo Harris is the matriach of the Slater family, like Charlie she cares about her family above all else, and anyone who upsets her grandughts gets a whole lot of verbal off Mo. In fact "Big Mo" as she's often called is renowned for her big mouth. Mo Harris walked into Walford in 2000, to live with recently widowed son in law Charlie and her grandchildren Kat, Lynne, Little Mo and Zoe. The death of her dugahter Viv had hit Mo hard and her and Charlie were united in grief and determined to carry on with life in Walford.
But as soon as she walked across Albert Square she faced on old adversay from the past: Pat Evans, nee Harris. Over a long period of time it was revaled that Mo married Pat's brother Jimmy. The pair had fallen out becuase Pat thoroughly disapproved of her new sister-in-law. In an attempt to break them up, Pat lied to Jimmy and told him that Mo was having an affair and Mo had held a grudge ever since. Slowly the pair have learnt to forgive and forget and are now on social terms, and at times can be friendly with each other.
Big Mo is well known for selling and buy dodgy gear from the lowlife of London and on numerous ocassions her dealings have reuslted in some comedy scens in eastenders: fluroscent pink shoes at Little Mo's Wedding and Henry VIII and his naughty wives langerie costumes for the St George's Day Fancy Dress. Mo hasn't found love since her time in Walford, but she has enjoyed winding up Minty Peterson into beliveing that she fancied him.

KAT MOON PLAYED BY JESSIE WALLACE

Kat likes to think that she's the tough one in the family, but this is not true as we have found out since her arrival with the rest of the Slater clan. Kat is well known for her trade mark fake tan and make up, Kat has a very unique fashion sense, with a love for short skirts, leopard print top’s and very vibrant colours mainly red’s. Kat is usually heard before she is seen, and this loudness can often get her into trouble.
The most memorable moment of Kat was the day that she reviled to Zoe in a rather dramatic style that she was her Mum.Which in turn rocked the whole Slater family. As it turned out Kat uncle Harry, Charlie's brother was the father. This revelation in turn lead to one of the most dramatic weeks in Eastenders history, ending with Kat trying to commit suicide and Zoe leaving the square to live in the streets, as she feared she had led her Mother to attempt suicide.
Kat is known as a bit of a man eater, she has been out with many of the Eastenders boy's, including her daughter Zoe’s boyfriend, Anthony. During her time with Anthony, Kat became pregnant but later miscarried and lost the baby. To all those watching there has only ever been one man for Kat and this man was Alfie Moon. It took them many months to realise how they felt about each other, but when Alfie was unable to sort things out with Kat she decided to find another man, by the name of Andy Hunter. Upon the day of their wedding, Alfie raced through London to get the wedding to declare his love for Kat. After a long chat together in the vestry of the church Kat decided that Alfie was really the man that she wanted and then walked out on her wedding to Andy.
Kat and Alfie had their wedding on Christmas day 2003. But like all Eastenders wedding things didn’t got smoothly. When the service began Alfie objected to the wedding, as he was still waiting for his divorce to come through. Kat was understandably furious at this revelation. Kat was so upset and angry, she locked herself in the bathroom. Alfie was going to call the wedding off just as his solicitor arrived with the divorce papers. So to everybody’s relief the wedding happened and Kat Slater became Kat Moon. Alfie had one big surprise for Kat, as he had arranged for fake snow to be laid over the square. Kat was thrilled to see her white wedding dream come true.
Well in true Eastenders style, Kat and Alfie’s marriage was soon under threat when Andy decided to get his revenge on the couple for ruining his wedding day and embarrassing him. Alfie borrowed some money from Andy, but he couldn't pay it back, Andy decided it was time to get his revenge. Andy told Kat that if she slept with him then the debt with be cleared. Andy made a video tape of him and Kat sleeping together, which he then gave to Alfie to watch, pretending that it was something else. Kat and Alfie when over to see Andy to try and show him they he hadn’t won, but Andy didn’t believe them. It turned out the Andy was right, and the argument’s began between Kat and Alfie. Kat was unable to cope with this and turned to drink, eventually leaving Albert square.
Kat has now return to Albert square after being found in prison my her Grand Mother Mo Harris, who then tracked her down after her release and persuaded her to return. On Kat’s return she found Zoe in turmoil, and was unable to find out why. After a few weeks of trying Kat became so worried that she locked her in the bed room and kept on questioning her. Kat was still unable to get anything from Zoe, so she had no choice but to let her go. Later than day Kat tracks Zoe down and Zoe tells her everything about the murder of Den, she ask’s Kat to understand and forgive her, but Kat is unable to, so Zoe leave’s to make a new life for herself in Spain with her friend Kelly. Realising that she may lose her daughter forever Kat chases after Zoe and they are reunited before Zoe leaves. Kat gives Zoe the identity bracelet that she had when she was born, which then moves Zoe to call Kat her Mum, and they vow to be mother and daughter forever.
Now that Kat is back she is determined to get back the man that she lost when she left - Alfie. Only time will tell if this is possible.

LITTLE MO MITCHELL PLAYED BY KACEY AINSWORTH

When the loud mouthed and insensitive Slater clan arrived back in 2000 it was clear that Charlie’s youngest daughter Mo was different from the rest of her family. Mo was named after her grandmother Mo Harris, and so her family affectionately called her “Little Mo”. She was kind, sensitive and very timid. Her first scene summed up Mo, she was prepared to sit in the back of a removal van so as the others could have a comfortable ride. However none of her family realised was she was so timid and scared, as behind closed doors Little Mo was a victim of domestic violence. She was married to the evil wife beating Trevor Morgan, who beat, abused and raped her for over two years.
Being the kind of person to see the best in everyone Little Mo continually forgave Trevor for his actions and kept on having him back, despite her entire family telling her not to. Little Mo finally realised the extent of Trevor’s evil and on news years eve 2001, she attacked him with an iron. Trevor prosecuted and Little Mo was sent to prison. When Little Mo was freed she washed her hands of Trevor all together and got closer and closer to her best friend Billy Mitchell. Their friendship finally blossomed into romance and Billy proposed to Mo with alphabet spaghetti. Everyone was pleased for them accept Trevor. Little Mo’s crazed ex kidnapped her and set fire to the Slater’s house with them both in it during the Halloween house fire of 02. Little Mo survived the blaze and Trevor died.
With Trevor out of the picture, Little Mo and Billy got married on Christmas day 02. It was clear that they loved each very much and that they were the real deal. Little Mo considered Billy the love of her life. They were happily married for a year, they planned to leave the Slater home and start a family of their own. However their plans were dashed when Little Mo was violently raped by Vic regular Graham Foster. He had befriended her for weeks and in December 03 he raped her. Little Mo later found out that she was pregnant with his baby. Being the sweet natured person that she was, and the fact that Kat gave birth to Zoe, Mo had no choice but to keep the baby. This put strains on her relationship with Billy and he couldn’t live bringing up a rapists baby.
Over time Billy’s parental difficulties with Freddie were too much for Mo to handle, and the pair eventually decided to call a day on their marriage. With her sister Kat out of town Little Mo had few people for comfort. However Mo soon began to form a strong friendship with her brother in law Alfie Moon. Over the past few months Little Mo has fallen for her sister’s husband big time, and has become a love sick woman. However Mo finds it hard to betray Kat, but is she prepared to give up the man she loves to protect her sister?

As the Slater's prepared for rapist Graham Foster's trial, the doorbell rang. In marched Stacey Slater, a distance relative of the family, Charlie's great niece. It was clear from the start that she was loud, insensative and pure nasty, so she fitted in well at the Slaters. Stacey's mother had a mential illness, and whilst she was being treated she had been shipped off to live with Charlie. Stacy's behaviour didnt go down well with the Slaters and she ruffled a few feathers around Walford. She had underage sex with Spencer and blackmailed him until Zoe foiled her plans, and she robbed off the Truemans, she bullied The Beale twins, and got Darren into a drunken mess. She robbed, lied and bullied half of the square, and Charlie was disgusted with her behaviour. He sent her back to her mother Jean. In an emotional episode Jean disowned her daughter, saying she didnt love her or want her in her house anymore.
Charlie had no option but to take her back to live with him and the other Slater's permanatly. Stacey were appreciated the gesture and so settled down a lot since, she considers herself a Slater sister now and even calls Big Mo "Nan". Being one for attention Stacey never got on well with Zoe, who was the apple of her father and everyone's elses eyes. Stacey always made snide comments about Zoe and often called her "Princess Zoe". One person who she has got on well with she they met was Ruby Allen, the pair are the same age and over time have become best mates.

When the Slater's arrived in 2000 they forever talked of sister Belinda, she was a myserty to fans for over a year, we wondered where she lived and what she looked like. Are questions were finally answered on Lynne's Slater's hennight party in 2001. In walked a sassy and sophisticated blonde. She was posh and snobbish, and very different from the rest of her sisters. Belinda lives in Canterbury with her beloved husband Neville Peacock, he owns his own buisnesses and so Belinda is rolling in money and is a lady of lesuire, she look down upon her family as lower class than her and this often made her u npopular with her other sisters. Belinda had always been the same, so she had naturally distanced herself from the family from day one.
Once she got drunk on the hen night her blond hair was revealed to be a wig, she actually had the slater brown hair. The wig like her accent and behaviour was all fake, she really was a cheaky loud cockeny like the rest of her family. With husband Neville always working Belinda often felt unloved and neglected, and this often lead to many marital arguments resulting in Belinda coming to live with the Slater's for short periods of time.
Being a typical Slater Belinda has always been up for a bit of fun, and it seemed that she had a penchant for mechanics, firstly she tried to pull Lynne's boyfriend Gary Hobbs and afterwards she had a breif fling with Jamie Mitchell, having numerous sessions in the back of her car, Jamie couldnt hadle the pace of sex mad Belinda and she ended up going back to long suffering husband Neville. Belinda would come back to Walford whenever their was a family crisis or a gathering such as Little Mo's wedding to Billy, and Kat's wedding to Andy and then Alfie.
