RULES
Grand Prix points will be awarded for all eligible MCA tournaments (January to September TNT’s & all Weekend Swiss from November 2004 to October 2005 eligible).
Players will be seeded into one of four groups, based on their CFC rating at the time of their first tournament of the season.. The player shall remain in their seeded group until the next Grand Prix season begins. Unrated players will be seeded according to their Performance Rating in their first tournament.

Group B 1,700 - 1,899
Group C 1,500 - 1,699
Group D - 1,499
The top 4 players in each group will play off to determine that group’s Grand Prix Champion.
The championship will be decided by a double round robin tournament to be played during the following Mike Shpan Memorial tournament, on successive Tuesday nights.
The top 6 Grand Prix results of a player will be used in determining the player’s overall standing. If a player is unable to participate in the playoff, then the next eligible player will be seeded into the playoff.
In the event there are more than one player tied for a playoff seeding, then the highest single tournament Grand Prix result of the tied players will be used to break the tie. In the event that players are still tied, then head to head results between players shall be used to break the tie. If still tied, then the player with the greatest improvement in rating will be seeded ahead of the others. If players are still tied, then overall Performance Rating for the year will be used to break the tie (Performance Rating calculated as Total Rating of all opponents + 400 Points per win – 400 per loss divided by number of games played).
