Greetings.
Welcome to Gothesque. We're currently working out of a Freewebs
domain, but that may change in the
future.
This site was designed
to combat the influx of "scene," "Emo," and "gangsta"
news and media on "gothic" websites. Here,
we will strive to
update as much as possible, but we won't lie-there will be times when
we are backed up with work. So please, help us out by contributing
your own stories, artwork, news,
media, and gossip to the site by visiting the "Contribute" page and
writing us. Help is also appreciated, and
we are looking for anyone who might be interested in moderating or
monitoring the site. If you are
interested, please visit the "Help Wanted" page for more information.
Here on Gothesque, you'll find everything from fanart to original
work, music, videos, books, stories, and
more. You can scroll down the homepage for our urgent announcements
and the latest news. We'll also hold
contest and polls from time to time, so keep an eye open. You can
check out artwork, original and fanart, on
the "Dark Arts" page. Read original stories and book reviews on the
"Tales of Darkness" page. Check out the
hottest bands and media on the "Musica and Media" page, or just
connect with other people on our forum.
If you'd like to know more about me specifically, you can check my
profile page under "Profiles".
Thank you for visiting, and have a wonderful time. We hope to see you
again soon.

Band of the
Month

Draconian
Take a trip to new worlds with the Swedish Doom metal band Draconian. With
a surprising six members, Draconian has just released their new album,
titled "Turning Season Within."
Draconian features two vocalists, Lisa Johansson and Anders Jacobson. The
growling, dark cries of Jacobson and the sorrowful, soprano laments of
Johansson compliment each other perfectly.
Some of the darkest guitar sounds in metal come from the Doom category,
and Johan Ericson and Daniel Arvidson have managed to blend utter darkness
with melody. Both have very impressive skills.
On the drums is Jerry Torstenson, and on bass is Fredrik Johansson. Each
of these members brings a unique aspect to Draconian, and both are
wonderfully adept at their jobs.
If you'd like to know more about Draconian, please visit their website
