A LOOK AT GOD'S PLAN ISA 53:5 - But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. ROM 5:9 - Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. ACTS EPH 1:7 - In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace; COL 1:14 - In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: COL 1:20 - And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven. HEB 10:10-12, 14 - By which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. (11) And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins: (12) But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God …(14) For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified. 1 PET 1:18 -19 - Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; (19) But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: I JN 1:7 - But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. REV 1:5 - And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, In other words, when Jesus said, "It is finished" as He died on the cross, He was declaring that He did everything (and the only thing) that takes away sins. That is further shown in Hebrews 1:3 where it says "After having PURGED our sins.." Noticed the focus is in what He did? John 3:16 says, "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." The Bible reveals that Salvation is a gift, attained by faith in what He did nearly 2000 years ago at A LOOK AT MAN'S RELIGION Man attempting to attain salvation, falls into many different schemes of Satan. The method by which man does this is by his religion. Although religions very greatly, the error is common and reflected in today’s society. >From little on, we are repeatedly told that, "If you are good enough, you’ll get rewarded." What begins as a childhood hope for cookies, an allowance, or even something special from "Santa Claus," thus, carries over into man’s thinking that Heaven is attained in a similar manner. This is verified even further as life, in general, continues to teach us things like "only the strong survive," "The most qualified gets the job," or "The trophy goes to the champion." THE DIFFERENCE Salvation is about grace, not what we do, but about what HE did. It is a gift! It is about us believing in Him, not God believing in us. ACTS
ROM
ROM 4:4-6 - "Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. Even as David also described the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works"
ROM CONCLUSION: If you are trusting in a religion that says the same words, but in reality, practices a system of your attaining Salvation through your holiness or your religious affiliation, then ask Gospel Light Ministries for more details on what you should do. |
