Mine Environment and Mineral Conservation Week 2008. was celebrated from 01.12.2008

to 06.12.2008 in all the mining units under the jurisdiction of Indian Bureau of Mines,

Nagpur region. In Malanjkhand Copper Project, the week was inaugurated by

Shri S C Gupta, CMD, Hindustan Copper Limited, who administrated oath

to the employees on mines environment and conservation of minerals and other

precious resources. Shri Gupta highlighted the importance of the mining sector in

deriving overall progress of mankind. Also speaking on the occasion , Shri B L Bhatoa,

GM Malanjkhand Copper project talked about the various initiatives adapted by the

project to curb the means of pollution within the project area.
