What's this Chapter All About?

We are a Missouri Chapter of the Good Sam Club.
Our primary purpose is to be a group of people who come together for the purpose of enjoying our RVs (Recreational Vehicles).  We join together to make these Weekends away more enjoyable and to be there for each other in the good times and bad.  We share in ideas and tips and basically have a good time away from the busy work week and home lives.

What we do

Our Chapter Meets on the 3rd Saturday each month for our Chapter Meeting.  During the Winter (off season) the meeting usually consists of dining out at a local resturant with the meeting following.  We try to find locations which is confortable to have the chapter meeting after a nice lunch or brunch.

During the camping season we usually spend Friday evening enjoying some friendly conversation and lately its becoming customary for the Assistant Wagonmaster to plan having a simple meal arranged - something like hotdogs or sandwitches.  Saturday morning we usually plan to have our chapter's monthly meeting.  The meeting being the only required activity for the members.  We usually plan pot-luck meals during the weekend.  Its a practice of most of our members to stay as long as possible on Sunday. We usually plan a late Sunday pot-luck lunch using anything left over from the other meals. We have given this late Sunday lunch the name "We don't want to go home" lunch.

Our Assistant Wagonmaster (the person that month to pick the location and make the arrangements - coordinating with the chapter's Wagonmaster). Often, but not necessarily required, will have a theme or several activites or games available for those who wish to participate. We dont require or expect everyone to participate in everything.

Pets are welcome, we try to find pet friendly camping sites since many of our members have dogs (and one with a cat) who enjoy the outdoors as much as the rest of our members.
