♥ The United States has the highest teenage pregnancy rate of all developed countries.
♥ About 1 million teenagers become pregnant each year; 95% of those pregnancies are unintended, and almost one third end in abortion.
♥ Public costs from teenage childbearing totaled $120 billion from 1985 -- 1990; $48 billion could have been saved if each birth had been postponed until the mother was at least 20 years old.
More than just a little bit of a problem, huh?
Not many people bother to educate themselves on teen pregnancy. Especially teenagers, despite the fact that it is happening to them. There are many paths to prevent teen pregnancy and or to help ease what you are going through if you remain pregnant.
In high school? Middle school, even? Pregnant? Afraid to tell someone that you are pregnant?
You're not alone and you don't have to go through it alone. There are places to help you every which way and this site, Gonna Get Through This will try and help point you in the right direction to the many options out there to handle your situations.
