The Choosen locations for the first stores were in Church Street and Williams Street Liverpool. The very first UK store atr Church Street , opened with a peformance by a full orchestra , circus acts and fireworks. The Guests at the first opening were given complimentary tea while being entertained by a traditional brass band. Woolworths had a Worth It range. In 2008 they were 807 stores nationwide. In 2009 on the 25th of June , Woolies launched online. |
