This is DRY Comet purchased off of Oak Grove Farms. He is one of our future herd sires.
We got started in the goat business as a joke played on my dad by an aunt in 2002. She gave us two young goats, a male and a female as a birthday present. We became attached to them and ended up with a baby and began to do some homework on them. The homework included research on different breeds, markets, and registered or non-registered goats. I, Mark, asked my parents if I could invest in some boer goats. I bought my first registered percentage boers in the fall of 2005. This quickly spread into buying more goats including fullblood traditional boers. I bought my own buck, a Remington ennobled grandson in the spring of 2006. Our goal is to produce quality breeding stock and eventually show stock even though at this time I am not active in the show ring. I realize I still have a lot to learn but with the help of experienced breeders who are willing to lend some information I believe I can eventually become that helping hand to someone else. We currently have some percentage paints but most of our goats are traditionals with some being percentage some purebred and some fullbloods.
