THE BAND THE MUSIC

This is Matt Vecchione. He has been playing guitar for many years since high school.  Matt fiddled around with his PRS for a while till he met Joe Pollari.  Joe was currently in a band and needed a new guitarist and first thought was Matt. Matt has never had any guitar lessons but in the week before joining the band with Joe he learned like 30 songs, ranging from Nirvana to Sabbath to Metallica. Matt has been a metal head since I met him and I am sure long before that.

Matt is currently deployed as a Combat Medic in IRAQ on his second tour. We expect him home by May 2009.   

I was in kindergarten and saw a teacher named Mr. Lebowitz playing an acoustic guitar in the auditorium. He was playing silly songs for the children and once I saw it I was hooked on the sound and instrument itself. I got a cheap electric guitar with a built in amp from Consumers and never looked back . I had been in many bands always trying to emulate other musicians that inspired me, but it wasn't till I met Matt and Joe that I found myself musically. After living with and jamming with each other we forged a brotherly bond that to this day would get someone hospitalized for fucking with any one of us. We punished every band that came our way, we then became one of the top 5 bands in Brooklyn without even playing a gig. Every week @ studio more and more people would come and spread the word of GOETIA. Our studio sessions became free shows for our loyal fans. In a studio packed with sometimes up to 30+ fans, we played like it was a show at Madison Square Garden. We love every aspect of playing for the people and the feedback from the crowd fueled our passion even more. Unfortunately drugs, petty arguments and inflated egos on all our parts caused turmoil and hyadis. Now all of us being a bit older and wiser and the rebirth of our vision of world domination, and playing the best music we can till we die is something all should look out for. Our goal is clear METAL DOMINATION!!!!!

 Alan Labiner is a genius. 

When I was very young I was into the guitar, my parents bought me an acoustic and a guitar book, with no money for lessons I started teaching myself. I did not get very far with it since I had no guidance and understanding of how the guitar was supposed to work. At around my junior high school days I got into sports and that took up most my time, also into the hip hop and rap scene metal was far from my mind. Until one day i had bought a Black Sabbath tape and heard War Pigs for the first time. I can say with all my being that that moment in time was the one instant change in my life. The sound of those drums and guitar riffs, along with the flow and feel of the whole arrangement sent me on the path that became GOETIA. Upon entering high school I joined the school band, for the first time in a year since discovering the drums I was able to touch them and play on a real kit. I taught myself to play the drums by listening to the sounds of what was being hit and watching videos to put the sound to the proper drum and symbol. The first song I ever played that first day in band class was ONE from Metallica. I was so filled with excitement.  

I met a few others who played bass and sang and we formed a crappy little band. Once the singer slash guitarist left i went straight to Matt and that was the creation that is GOETIA. All bands have ups and downs, drugs and stupid ego trips and I think we mastered every one of these. But when it came time to perform there was a force that just exploded in every song, every chord, every beat and every word we projected. GOETIA is the only band I have ever been in and the band I forever devote my life to spreading the word that is   GOETIA !!!!!!!!!!!
