Family Prayer

It has often been said that, "The family who Prays together, Stays together". We live in a hurried world  and if we're not careful, we get caught up in the Mad Rush. Many are quick to say, "I don't have the Time", when the fact is, Time is all we have. If our time was cut off today, then nothing else would matter.

If we do not take time out for God, Then how can we expect Him to take time out for us. It seems that in the instant world we live in, that time for Family often takes a back seat to everything else. Having been led to believe that More is Better, most families have both parents working, rushing home to make dinner, cleaning, doing the laundry and trying to get enough rest to face another day, and doing the same thing all over again, while often leaving the Child Rearing responsibility to Day Care.

Our children do not care how much we know, but rather how much we care, About Them! It is amazing how much we can help our children, by spending time with them and incorporating Gods word into the mix. When we show our love for God, our children pick up on it and learn early on that they have two place to turn for Guidance, God & Us.

Does all of this Guarantee that children raised in the ways of God will never do anything wrong? NO! However, they will have a strong sense of direction and the holy Spirit residing within them that will help them make the right choices, and urge them in the right direction.

Many of us grew up in tougher times and feel guilty if we tell our children NO, concerning anything they want. Reason: We all want them to have it better than we did, and This is a Grave Mistake. There is a Great difference between what a Child need's and what they want! Often as Parents, we get the two confused, especially if we feel Guilty about our lack of time we devote them
