The New Age .... God Style

An evangelical minister teaches his congregation about the laws of kashrut? An orthodox rabbi gives the invocation at a Sunday morning church service? These events have taken place, and the very holy alliance between Jews and Christians continues to build across the country. This event can only be described as the dawning of a New Age, but one that is patterned by and serves the will of God.

After nearly two thousand years of fragmentation, God’s people are finally joining forces. Rather than seeing the Jewish people as a project that needs to be completed, many Christians accept that they are the extension – the grafted branches, if you will, of the Jews. As a result, many evangelicals are more in tune with traditional Jewish holidays and learning more about Jewish history than are liberal or secular Jews. The Jewish people as well are embracing their Christian brothers, and now see Jesus as the Rabbi to the Gentiles. This doesn’t take anything away from the Jews in terms of their “chosen” position, but allows them to exist in a societal context that will not deter them from the responsibilities that chosen-ness has bestowed upon them.

What does this alliance mean for the world? First, it delineates the teams in the battleground between good and evil that is destined to escalate in the next decade. One of the responsibilities of the Jewish people is that they are to make the world ready for the coming of the Messiah; this is a pretty heavy duty for a people that only represent about 2% of the world’s population, and whose religion does not permit proselytizing. Now, with the help of Christians, the rule of law that was initiated on Mt. Sinai can be broadcast throughout the world, hastening the conditions that would make the environment amenable to a Messiah. This agenda has its enemies, however. A significant percentage of the population would prefer to live life according to the tenets of the self-serving, self-centered secular humanists. Anything that would derail a lifelong pursuit of pleasure that has no regard for human life is anathema to them. The war against religion in general, along with a creeping agenda of anti-Semitism, will erupt in full force during this time. Killing the messenger seems to be a time-honored tradition.

Secondly, those people known as “values voters” will gain and maintain a prominent position during the election cycle of 2008 and beyond. All power in the United States emanates from the bottom up, rather than the top down, and there will be a strong mandate from the grassroots to the power structure to maintain the rule of law, protect religious liberties and respect Judeo-Christian traditions. Politicians and civil leaders will find their feet being collectively held to the fire, as “average” people bring about radical changes within society.

Finally, the mistrust and animosity that kept Christians and Jews apart will be bridged forever. The root cause of this breach – interventions and playing the “blame game” by oppressive regimes, including the hierarchy of the Church during the Middle Ages, will be unearthed, examined and ultimately thrown into the compost bin of civilization, where its demise will serve to nurture the seeds of the thousand-year reign of Moshiach, the Messiah. This is the beginning of the true, New Age, one that will ultimately be welcomed the world over. The time is now, the place is here, and you are part of the solution.
