Have you ever really sat down and asked yourself, " What would happen to me if I were to die today? Where would I end up spending eternity?" These are very important questions we all need to ask ourselves! Jesus said in John, "I am the way, the truth, & the life, no one will come to the father except through me." Do you realize what that means? Where is the Father? He is in Heaven sitting on His throne! So, if you want to have eternal life in Heaven when you leave earth you have to go by the way of Christ! Thus proving that Christ is life and He is the way to Heaven! The bible also says that the truth is the only thing that can set us free! So, who is "Truth"? The answer is Christ. Who died on the cross to set us free from a destination of eternity in Hell? Christ! John 3:16-17 are well known scriptures that many of us know and it says it all... "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son so that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life." V.17 "For God did not send His Son to condemn the world but so that through Him it might be saved!" That is powerful no matter how you look at it! There is no greater love than that! I have heard many people say that there is no way God can forgive the many terrible things they did wrong because those things were really bad. There is good news! The bible says that the blood of Jesus covers a multitude of sins! The bible says also that there is no sin greater than any other! Sin is sin in the eyes of God! Killing someone is just as much sin as telling a lie! The bible tells us that "All have sinned and fallen short of God's glory!" All it takes is a sincere heart and a prayer to get on the right track! Just surrender your heart and life to Christ and ask Him to take control! Ask Him to wash away your sins and make you a new creation in Him! Ask Him to raise you up to be the man or woman of God you were created to be! Then find a good Christ teaching, cross believing church and go faithfully because the Lord tells us in His word, "Do not forsake yourselves from assembling with other believers!" But be warned! The bible also says not put yourself in the company of non-believers and that bad company corrupts good character! That does not mean we can not talk to non-believers. They are everywhere so you can not avoid them. They are at work, at the grocery store, and they are in your own family! That scripture is just telling us to hang out with people that are like minded with us; people who can encourage us, pray for us, and give Godly counsel to us when we need it. Think about it... if we gave our hearts to Christ on Sunday and then the following Friday and every Friday there after started hanging out at the bar with a group of old "friends" do you think you will be able to keep living for Christ on a daily basis to the best of your ability? There is no way you can! The flesh is weak! We were born with a sinful nature! So the wise thing to do after giving your heart & life to Him would be to stop hanging out with those old "friends."By all means we should always tell a non-believer about Christ and what He did for them! The bible tells us to go out on the highways and bi-ways and preach the gospel and compell them to come into the kingdom. My husband & I are evangelists so it is my heart's desire to see people's lives impacted, changed, & turned around by the awesome soul cleansing, sin washing, never ending power of the one and only real savior of the world Jesus Christ! The bible says if we confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in our hearts God raised Him from the dead we will be saved! Start living for Him today! He is coming back soon to get His people and if we are not right with Him we will be left! He loves you unconditionally!
