Godfrey's Ceramics

Godfrey was born (1937) in Vittoriosa, Malta.

His professional career in education spans many years of successful and rewarding achievements both as a teacher and as an administrator in Malta's Secondary Schools.

As a dedicated educator, he has always heartily embraced the values of art and culture. In schools under his care, he would constantly strive to encourage his students to develop and express their varied artistic traits to the full.

His will to express his personal artistic aptitude has been in the making for a long time.

 Godfrey now spends his free quality time moulding and hand-building ceramics inspired by the island's rich cultural heritage.

Always an active person, he followed a three-year evening course in Pottery and Ceramics at the Malta College of Arts & Design.

Under the guidance of George Muscat, a locally known Ceramic Artist, Godfrey's passion flourished and today is fast gaining reputation as an established ceramist on the island. The artist's strongest link in ceramics is his hand-built and sculptured murals depicting Maltese historical buildings and sites.

 He has held two solo Ceramic Art exhibitions and participated in numerous collective ones in Malta and Gozo.

Godfrey Xuereb is a member of the Malta Society of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce.
