I'm originally from Dallas, Texas. My mother was from Mexico & my father is Tex/Mex.
I had always dreamed of being a dancer, especially a belly dancer, since I was a child. I had the opportunity to live in Saudi Arabia in 1998. I attended a belly dance show & it reminded me of my childhood dream. Therefore, I contacted an instructor who taught me for 2 months. When I returned to the States in 1999, I knew I still had much more to learn. Nonetheless, with the little that I knew, those that found out I could belly dance asked me to teach them - which I did & we had fun. I began taking lessons from videos, Maria Jamal, Raina, Myriam Eli, Maja, and others. I am enjoying this opportunity in teaching others this beautiful artform.
