1.
Matches to be played on Thursday nights. Any team
unable to play on the night specified are to notify the opposing team and the
league secretary on or before the preceding Thursday of the match.
Any postponed matches must be played within fourteen days of the specified
date.
2. The captains of both teams shall mutually agree that the conditions of play are satisfactory and according to the rules before the commencement of any play, no protests shall be heard after play has commenced.
3. The throw shall be 7ft 9¼ ins. in a plumb line from the face of the board, and the centre of the board shall be 5ft.8¼ ins. from the level floor.
4. Matches are to commence at 8.45pm. Any players not present and available to play at this time shall forfeit their game.
6. Division One teams shall play 5 single games of 501 up, ((1 leg) straight start and a double finish), and 2 double games, ((1 leg) straight start and a double finish).
7. A draw should be made by the captains of each team to determine the order of play, using suitable counters or cards.
8.
Any player that is signed for a team that finish as
winners or runners up of a division must play in the relevant division the
following season unless previously authorised by the committee.
Failure to observe this rule will result in the loss of all points acquired.
9.
Winning team captains are responsible for returning the
result cards to the secretary or committee member by the Tuesday following the
match.
A fine of £1.00 will be imposed for any late result cards.
10. The
match fees of £3.00 per match, team entrance fee of £2.00 and signing on fees
of 50p per player shall be collected at the half way point in the fixtures,
after which there will be no new signings.
Second half match fees of £3.00 per match shall be collected near the end of
the season.
11. In the event of more than 10 teams entering a division then a “Shadow League” will be run during the second half of the season*
12. The committee shall adjudicate on any protests or appeals as and when required, providing that such a protest or appeal is made in writing by a registered team or player, and a fee of £1.00 paid.
13. Ladies teams wishing to qualify for the Ladies Championship, must consist of only lady players, and shall inform a committee member as such.
14. The
matchboard shall be made available to the visiting teams for practice as from

* When the first half season is completed the committee will nominate a number of teams in the lower half of the division to play in the shadow league. Of those teams the team gaining most points in the second half will be deemed the winners of the shadow league.
