Welcome to Gnommvael

All about Gnomelaguardia and its residents

Fellow gnome lovers!!!!!

Since the time, thousands of years ago, when the races of Faerie decided to allow humans to govern themselves without the intervention of these higher beings, the Fey have fallen into "fairytales" (By use of the English word Fairy, derived from the Dwarvnar word Faerie or, collectively, Feyaarae). Most modern mortals do not believe in the Fey, although all white-skinned mortals are either part Dwarf or part Elf! Personally, my alliances are with the Gnomes, who I lived with for two years in their time, in which I did not age at all, and seemed liked fourteen minutes to humans. I grew as a leader there, and so I discovered all that I know now. If you follow my mothers side of the family, you will find an Elf Queen seventy generations back, and my father is a descendant of a Dwarf-king! Now, my goal is to publicize the Fey, and reunite the mortals and immortals of the Life Tree of Yggdrassil!

HOLIDAY!!!

Every time there is a gnome holiday coming up I will list it here.

  1. Winter Festival/Half-year Start- The celebration of the start of Winter Feasting on December 22nd.  Also celebrates the start of the first half-year: the winter/spring half-year. One of the six seasonal feasts, this feast celebrates all of the hard work of the year.  All gnomes celebrate at the largest public building in their town/city, and feast only in the night, as this is the longest night of the year.  All Magion jobs are off, and at the Gnommein Hall in the city of Fraesvale the Miercoloe Circus will perform, and the Ice Elementors are to be present and thanked for their help in victories against the Fire Elves. The day is worshipped as a teaching of hope, beauty, and the ability of beings to be merry in long term success.
  2. Holly Day/Day of the Holly king, Emdenour- A holiday to celebrate the alliance between Gnomelaguardia and the Holly King, celebrated on December 27th.  All jobs except for those of Maentuur (Mentors) are off, and all students/apprentices are to be taken by their Maentuur to the closest Holly City. Students who turn seven in this half-year are taught Iiceitmaj, Ice Magic.
  3.  St. Patrick's Day- going all day on March 17th, this is the day that the leprechauns come out of hibernation.  It is important for all to wear green on this holiday, as leprechauns and house gnomes are always ready to pinch. Also celebrated in the Maertovale (Mortal Realm/Earth).
  4. The Start of Spring- starting on the spring equinox and going throughout the day after, this is a time of celebration for the gnomes.  All jobs are off and there is much feasting similar to that of the winter festival. The Elfin fine art, Y'atrea-majaerat (magic tree shaping), is formed into a national contest in the city Yaerboier, and the annual treaty-signing takes place between the courts of Elnfivael and Gnommvale (Gnomelaguardia). All children of this half-year are taught music, herbology, shape-shifting, or sculpture. This holiday is meant to teach our connection with nature and each other, and our ability to change.
  5. Summer Festival/Second Half-year start- The celebration of the start of Summer Feasting on June 21st.  Also celebrates the start of the second half-year: the summer/fall half-year. All gnomes celebrate at the largest public building in their town/city, and feast only in the day, as this is the longest day of the year. All Magion jobs are off, and at the Gnommein Hall in the city of Yaerboier the Fuuirmaj Masters will perform, and the Fire Elementors are present to sign a treaty. The day is worshipped as a teaching of freedom, community, and the ability of beings to prepare for long term success.
  6. National Gnome Day- Celebration of all gnomekind.  All jobs in Magion are off for the day, and Faeries gather at night with witches to form Faerie circles.  In the Gnomelaguardian capitol of Fraesvale there will be fireworks over Baelyn Stadium.  Day: June 25th
  7. Oak Day/Day of the Oak King, Ysallouill- The second of the two holidays to celebrate the alliance between Gnomelaguardia and the Twin Forest Kings, celebrated on June 27th.  All jobs except for those of Maentuur (Mentors) are off, and all students/apprentices are to be taken by their Maentur to the closest Oak Town. Students who turn seven in this half-year are taught Fuuirmaj, Fire Magic.
  8. Y'aeradai/Aytoumdai (Artist's Day/Fall Equinox)- The celebration of the nation-wide public art festival, and the start of fall. All over Gnomelaguardia, millions of artists lie their art out on their doorstep for passerby to see, but not for them to take. The government sponsors public art programs that clean up existing and create new public art. All children of this half-year are taught painting, sketching, architecture or sport. Celebrated on September 23rd. This holiday is meant to teach creativity and color.
