Notice:
I have received many comments and I am happy I have helped many people along. One question, I have seen many times is: "Could you include pictures to help me along?". Unfortunately, I no longer breed rats and have long since deleted the pictures of the little ones so this is about the most help I can offer at this point. There has been talk about starting again so I may be able to provide some pictures at a later date, but that could be a long while.

Introduction
Breeding rats is a long process and requires dedication and care. To breed friendly rats who are comfortable around people and are free of stress they should be handled at least 15 minutes of every day and be sure to consider carefully what you plan on breeding your rats for. If you are breeding your rats for pets, remember that most pet stores sell 50% - 90% of their rats as feeders.
