Hello
My name is Linda Blankenship, and I have been a seamstress for over 40 years. I love creating wonderful one-of-a kind design gowns for Fun and Fantasy.
My gowns are individually handcrafted works of art, and are not mass produced “off the rack” dresses. I work alone and give special attention to each and every detail, and craft every gown to the highest standards - as if I were going to be wearing it myself!
Fantasy Gowns
I love Medieval and Renaissance gowns, but my very favorite gowns are the Elven gowns featured in The Lord of the Rings trilogy - especially the gowns worn by Arwen. Unlike most seamstresses, I enjoy working with velvets. You can't beat velvet for the way the fabric drapes and flows. It also lends itself beautifully to beading, embroidery and applique. Add some georgette or chiffon to the mix and you have an absolutely breathtaking gown!
Medieval Gowns
My Medieval gowns are similar in design to the gowns worn by Eowyn in Lord of The Rings. 
Renaissance Gowns
My version of the Renaissance Gown is a two-piece gown with chemise. Arm treatments are also available. I have sold many different versions of this gown for Renaissance Weddings and Ren Faires! It has been done in velvet, brocade, silk, faux suede, linen and even corduroy, among others. Use your imagination to create a gown of your own! 
Specialty Gowns
I have had the pleasure of crafting specialty gowns for etherial singer/songwriter/fantasy illustrator Priscilla Hernandez.
She wore this purple velvet gown at her US Debut at Faerieworlds in Eugene, Oregon in August, 2008.

Custom Gowns
If it has been difficult to find what you are looking for, ask me about a custom design or combining designs! I also work from purchased patterns and can combine elements from several patterns to make one new gown. A custom gown is created and fitted just for you. I craft each and every garment as if it were my own gown. I take special care and devote huge blocks of time to make sure it is made right the first time. Let me help make your fairytale gown!
