Hi there! I am Gabrielle "Gabby" Hargrove, a native of Houston, TX. In 2002, I finished undergrad from Spelman College in Atlanta, GA where I was a psychology major. After graduating, I made the decision to work in and out of the field of psychology for about three years between undergrad and graduate school. In 2005, I began working on my masters in community agency counseling at Auburn University in Auburn, AL.
Currently, I am a first year counseling psychology doctoral student at the University of Kentucky. My current research interests are multicultural issues and competencies in counseling, African American families, Domestic Violence (DV)/ Intimate Partner Violence (IPV), and the rates of an abused women's willingness to seek social support.
