Market for All
Make organic and locally grown food accessible to people of all incomes through fundraising, marketing and outreach efforts.
Education Program - Green & Growing!
The Green & Growing Program is a collaboration of Ald. Joe Moore's 49th Ward Green Corps and the Market's Education Committee. We can always use the support of personable volunteers to manage the tent and assist with educational workshops.
Help get the word out! We need marketers to write and send out press releases, network with other organizations, and work on our fundraisers: Heat it Up Chili Cook Off, Summer Soiree Dinner Parties, Oktoberfest and It's A Wrap! Printed materials are always needed to promote the market as well as signage and other marketing. If identity and graphics are your passion, talk to us. Would you like to host the Market Blog? Or are you a Facebook fiend? We are looking for friends on Facebook, email marketers, and writers who would like to contribute to the website and enhance our internet presence.
Contact Market Director, Sheree Moratto, if you'd like to get involved.
The market has a variety of collaborative partners and actively seeks new relationships. Our nonprofit partner program features a different local non-profit organization weekly. If you are interested in reserving one of our tents for your nonprofit, contact us.
We also are proud to collaborate with five local food pantries and soup kitchens including the United Church of Rogers Park's Community Feast, Christopher House, Howard Area Community Center, St. Ignatius Church, and A Just Harvest.
