06.04.09 - All games played now, in the league anyway. Acle record their first win of the season, yes against us! However we did only have 10 men. The season did end well though with a 2-1 win against AFC and a 5-0 win against Acle (this time will 11 men). A 5th place finish and for the second season running we finish 1 point off 3rd place. This is possibly the last update on this website as Gilson Bailey FC will no longer excist
19.03.09 - Congratulations to Woodsy and Laura on the birth of baby ESME, born today at 07.12 weighing 6 pounds 15. Baby and mother are both doing well.
08.03.09 - Lost to Platerers 4-1 somehow, Robbo socring!!!!
01.03.09 - Lost last week to Norman hence the lack of an update!! After being 1-0 up and 2-1 up we lost 3-2. Pete with both goals. This week however we finally managed to win, our first victory since 14th December!! In form Griffin were ripped apart as we ran out 6-3 winners! Pete with a hatrick, Gav with 2 and Lee Robets scoring with a cross (although he'll say he was shooting, with his left foot??)
16.02.09 - Fixture changes. 1st March will now be away against The Griffin and the 8th March will be away against The Plasterers Arms.
15.02.09 - Since when have Aslacton been out bogey team? They obviously are now, a 3-0 defeat mean we're still looking for our first win of 2009.
01.02.09 - Finally we play in the league again!! No game in January, what's that all about? Norman Wanderers visit Longdale and get battered for the first half, Jason scoring. The second half is much more even but Norman find the back of the net to make the final score 1-1.
21.12.08 - We're out of the county cup, but that was weeks ago, we then beat Nelson 4-1 only to lose to Farmhouse today 4-2.
06.12.08 - 1 win in 4 now in the league. A 2-2 draw against Aslacton and a 3-0 defeat at home to Plasterers dent Gilson's title hopes.
09.11.08 - Website updated on the day of the game, we must have won!! Cup replay at Horsford and it's a 5-2 win for Gilson. Woodsy 2, Pete, Harvey and a cracker from Dillie getting the goals. Next up AFC Norwich.
02.11.08 - We're back in the cup!!! Horsford tavel to Longdale rather than Kings Lynn and nothing can seperate the 2 teams. 3-3 after extra time. Jason with 2 and Dillie scoring.
19.10.08 - Apologisies for the lack of updates. In a nut shell, we lost 2-0 against The Green Man, the lost in the Intermediate Cup last week against West Lynn Sports and Social Club 5-4, goals from Woodsy, Brad and a brace from Pete. Today we entertained The Farmhouse who had played 4 won 4 without conceding. An interesting game saw us run out 7-6 winners!!! Pete, Brad and Dillie all scoring 2 with Gav scoring the other.
21.09.08 - Another away win for Gilson as we beat The Green Man 2-1 at Rackheath. Billy picking up his first competitive goal for the club and Woodsy hitting the winner.
