Hi there, our names are Gill and Gillian and we are mother and daughter from the outskirts of Glasgow.
Over the years we have been breeding and showing Samoyeds, and Japanese Spitz. And have also been successful with German Shepherds and Rough Collies at Obedience.
We have now entered an exciting new era with the arrival in 2006 of Mishka a beautiful black and tan Eurasier bitch.
We first became aware of the breed in 2000 when watching Rolf Harris Animal Hospital and since then our love affair with the Eurasier escalated.
Mishka ( Mussendun Amastunner at Gileyna) came to us from Mussendun kennels, Coleraine, N.Ireland and has since travelled the length and breadth of Britian participating in shows, in which we are pleased to say she has done extremely well, (show results can be viewed). Mishka is our number one and the leader of the pack. She has endless energy and boundless fun she is the cheeky one but our first love. Great with children and a soft gentle nature. Mishka likes to jump and can clear a baby gate with ease she loves her long walks but detests the rain and will jump a puddle to avoid getting her paws wet.
It has been during these shows that we have introduced ourselves to other Eurasier owners, across the country. which resulted in the arrival of Ace ( Foxfire odakota of Cornerstar at Gileyna) a magnificent red dog Bred by ulla carin at the Foxfire kennel in Sweden. (See links page) It is with the arrival of Ace that has cemented the foundations for Kennel Gileyna and our eurasiers.
Our third eurasier was to be Mabuhs Taja from Denmark but due to an unfortunate illness was unable to come to Scotland. A great loss and a girl we will always hold in our hearts (we love you zanya then ,now and forever) Agap we can never replace.
Our new baby IS Aria (Darchen Dark Crystal) who is a lovely wolf grey bitch from Darchen Eurasiers and Tibetain Mastiffs. Aria is a very loving affectionate girl who loves everone has an endless need for a kiss and cuddle and has a fantastic nature with children. She loves the beach and swims given any opportunity she also loves the muddiest puddles she can find the opposite of mishka in many ways.
