Gil and Catherine

This site is dedicated to the relationship of Gil and Catherine.
The sexual tension between Gil Grissom and Catherine Willows
has been noticeable since the very first season of CSI.
This has been breeding fanfiction, fanart and music video sites.
Some sites are for the show while others are for the different actors.
I have a site for the show and also for my favorite relationship GCR or
as some call it Grillows.
On this site I have links to fanart, fanfiction and to a episode guide w/ summary and Gil & Cath moments.

Some interesting articles

If anyone know what mag or newpaper any of these are from could you please let me know
Mystix
While Grissom sees Sara as a daughter type, he sees Catherine as his
equal. That's how it's always been. Gil & Cath are yin & yang.
They read each other's minds, they know each other's better than anyone
else.
When people call Catherine his wife, he never denys it. And people
really do think they're husband and wife, even Eddie thinks they're
lovers and have been for years. There's something uniquely comfortable
between them. They trust each other completely. There's something
unspoken between them.
As for Grissom/Sara, even William Petersen is against it. He says
that if any pairing was to be on the show it would be Grissom/Catherine
because that would be so natural for both of them. They're best
friends.
And even TPTB admit that Grissom is the soul of the show while Catherine is the heart.
"The relationship between Grissom and Catherine defies characterization." - William Petersen
"The relationship between Grissom and Catherine compliments each other.
It is like yin and yang." - Marg Helgenberger.
This saying and the one above it are from the first two issues of the comic books, Serial.
"We found chemistry right off the bat. First of all, I've always been
attracted to Marg Helgenberger, so that was never a problem." - William
Petersen, about Marg.
The writers also quickly shed Gil's blink-and-you-missed-it
flirtation with Jorja Fox's Sara Sidle because, well,
given their age difference, it was creepier than
any murder. This was from Entertainement Weekly
ROMANTIC LOVE INTEREST: "Smouldering Catherine Willows, the only member
of Gil's department whose forensics skills rival his own. The two have
stayed off each other so far, but there's definitely something going on
there." The Globe about Grissom's love interest.

The Butterflies

What I find hard to understand is people thinking the butterflies are a
sign of GSR or geeklove. A lot of other people think its a sign of GCR
or Grillow (Grissom/Willows). The butterflies started showing up in the
very first episode. Sara didn't show up till the 2nd episode.
You'll find Catherine wearing the butterflies:
(S1) The very first butterfly you see is on the shoulder of Catherines daughter Lindsey's jacket.
(S1) a barrett although it looks more like a dragonfly
(S2) a pair of
earrings
(S4) A picture of Lindsey is in Catherines locker and we see a butterfly on the front of Lindsey's jacket.
(S5) a necklace, after careful looking I don't think its a but what
looks like a pair of handcuffs still it is a nice picture of them
together
Iin a lot of the screencap you'll find Catherine or
Grissom sometimes Catherine and Grissom together.
Sara has never worn a
butterfly and she's not in as many screencaps as Catherine.
That should show that its a sign of G/C right there, but it seems some people
started thinking after the Butterflied episode its a sign for them.

The Companion Book

The companion was done by a Gil/Sara Supporter and shipper. If you read
it all they are way off on a lot of things. From personal bio's to
romance. Also the book only covered seasons 1-3. This is what I have been told I have never seen the book and not only by GCR but by many other people even one's who don't support any relationship state the book is biased towards GSR. The funny thing even a GSR person told me the same thing.
This was sent to me:
it's from the companion book: in regards to the ep. the finger
"On a character note, Sara and Hank are shown dating. Jorja Fox was happy to see her character reaching out, though a little surprised by her choice. "Here's this woman who's so not cool in the regular world and who's lucky enought to have all these guys at work who are crazy about her. So it's kind of funny that she'd be looking outside that world to find someone." For Ann Donahue, Sara's decision to hook up with Hank represents an acknowledgement of the futility of her crush on Grissom."
