This item is a small bust (head and shoulders) statue of the Bast Cat. Cats do not appear as household pets during the Age of Ancient Egypt, though they were very popular animal companions in later times. From about three thousand, two hundred years ago, there are cartoon-like images of cats and mice engaged in human activities; unfortunately we do not know the stories for these illustrations.

Each Egyptian Statue is made from resin and beautifully finished in bright gold, blues, greens and reds, all colours associated with Egyptian imagery.

This item is a small bust (head and shoulders) statue of Anubis, the jackal headed Egyptian God, protector of the dead. Guardian of the Necropolis (cemetery). He was the guide of the dead as they made their way through the darkness of the underworld. As a patron of magic, it was believed he could foresee a persons destiny, in this role he was the announcer of death.

 This item is a small bust (head and shoulders) statue of Horus, the Egyptian falcon god of the Sky. In Ancient Egypt, each king was Horus. When a king died, Egyptians said that the falcon had flown to Heaven and united with the Sun Disk. The next king then became Horus. Like the Hawk, the king was a fighter, a warrior. This is why Horus, when shown as a hawk-headed man, wears an armored breast-plate.

The mask found in the Tomb of Tutankhamun was the most fantastic treasure unearthed within it. The headdress was made from solid gold and decorated with luminous coloured glass and precious stones such as lapis, quartz and obsidian.

The original mask was inscribed with hieroglyphics that both protected the mask and ritually connected the king to the Gods.

Tutankhamun was not a major player in Egypt Pharaonic history, or at least, in comparison with other pharaohs. Prior to Howard Carter's discovery of his tomb, almost nothing was known of him.  One disappointment in Carter's discover was that there was little in the way of documentation found within his tomb. Therefore, we still know relatively little about Tutankhamun.

Isis (in Greek) was from Lower Egypt and stood for love, magic, motherhood, children, medicine and peace.
