The people you see in background are people from the bush in Liberia they speak only the language of Basssa. Our Jesse speaks Bassa and is able to preach the gospel to them and to teach the word of God.
In this picture they are eating after working on our farm.
OUR MISSION TO LIBERIA
Welcome to our website, we are blessed to have you join us for a visit!
OUR VISION
We as a team are answering the call of God on our lives, to bring the gospel to the lost making disciples of all nations and reaching out to the orphans and widows in Liberia.
We are attempting great things for God and standing in faith that God will do great things through us.
I hope you enjoy your visit today, and come back and visit us. but above all remember this site is about the children and the lives that will be changed by the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Please go through the site prayerfully, and let the Spirit of God lead you. We need those who the Spirit leads to be a part of this ministry in some way. Would you like to volunteer? We have presently have a need for teachers in Liberia and those who would volunteer to help us start a church, school and clinic in the bush. There are few medical facilites in the bush so a clinic would be very much needed. children walk as much as 5 miles to go to school every day. A school and a church will be needed as so far over 15 have given their life to the Lord just in this one village.
Our School in Paynesville
We rented a large house for all of our widows and children and have started a school and feeding program. Our intent was for an orphanage and in God's timing we shall have one. All together there are three widows and their eight children. They cook and feed all the children that come to the school one meal a day, and they help the teachers keep order.
Teachers Paul and Chester

We now have 100 + children coming to the school presently and the numbers are growing daily as many are coming from the streets who are not otherwise able to attend school. We feed, as the Lord provides because most only get one meal a day in their homes.
Shelton Tarpeh, our son who helped us in Ghana, is now back in Liberia and working with us. he assist the teachers with the children.
We are always in need of clothing for the children and widows though we did give away clothing for the children last Christmas 2008, two hundred turned up and God fed them as well. It was truly a God miracle!!! Like the fishes and the loaves.
You can read about it here . It is God who is definately providing.
If anyone can donate treddle sewing machines it will help the widows to make their own clothing and the children's, as well as make a little extra money by selling items they can make. We want to also train the women and young girls, former child soldiers how to make a living making clothes.

Goals
A farm, orphanage, school and possibly a clinic in the future as medical help is lacking greatly in Liberia. Mostly in the Bush.
We want to grow our own food for the widows and children and to sell produce. Global food shortages and huge increases in fuel prices has more then doubled the price of rice, so we believe a farm is God's answer. We also want to grow our own small livestock for food. Meat is a luxury there. We are not funded by any church or large donations, but by friends that have known us and our heart for many years. God is our source and he always provides when we are in need.
(Our goal for the farm is being fulfilled. The farm has been cleared, and planted, and the rice and other veggies that were planted are growing. The farm is the size of a soccer field and will feed many children next winter. Please pray for a great harvest which will be in late September early October!)
The woman below watches to see the birds do not eat the seeds, she shoes them away.

This was one of the outreaches to the Bush, and before the land was leased for the farm.
See picture below.

Women in top picture are siting around, they have no electricity and Jesse and the team took out some lanterns, buckets and shoes for the kids, so they were able to stay up later. Jesse is preaching the gospel in above picture.
The photo above is Josiah he is son of the land owner and he is showing Jesse the land we leased for the farm, and has now been cleared and plaanted. Across from that picture is the house we will make into a school and church.
The bottom picture is the way to the village and farm. And above they are melting wax.
The owner wants $6,000 to buy the land we are leasing, the land is larger then a soccer field, it is size of four lots. We are considering working out something so we can still buy the land. We will be praying for the finances but in the mean time for at least this year we are leasing the land and house, it is a huge step step of faith for us, when I first wrote here, we had not even started anything, so God is moving and providing.
We are looking forwarding to bringing produce to market and to feed the many children coming to the school as well as the street children in Monrovia with food we are able to produce on the farm. We also want to help some of the widows and childen in the bush who are so in need. Check out our new pictures in the sidebar below.
Our School in Monrovia
The children just keep coming for school and for their only meal of the day. As I write this there are over one hundred plus and we will soon need another structure to hold them all.
They have been having school outside the building because there are way too many kids to be in the building.
Our landlady is offered a building near the school for the kids to go when it rains, which it rains spring and summer in Liberia, but it is only for the rainy season. We really need to look for another more suitable building for all the kids and our other projects before September when our lease on this building will be up. Please pray that God will provide for these projects.
The pictures
The pictures above were when we first started the school, it has grown from 25 children to over
100+ in one years time.

Out In Bush
The family you can see in the pictures below are in so much need we need to be able to show them the love of God with a helping hand.
Jess and the team go out most every week and stay there and preach the gospel to them and to other villages.
They tell us there is no one to teach school in the area there, and the children, have never been to school, because the nearest school is a five mile walk.
I pray you can catch the vision we have to see these people come to know Jesus, and to give them a future and a hope.
Please pray for this outreach! That souls are won and that the farm can produce abundance of rice and produce, that we can start a school for the children there.
We need a teacher for the school we can begin in the bush, so if anyone knows a teacher in the Kakata area of Liberia please pass this info on to them. Bassa speaking if possible.
In Liberia, the devastation is beyond imagination. After a fifteen year war in that country it has taken its toll.
There is no work and homes are destroyed. There is lack of employment and basic needs like food and water . All the needs are multiplied by 10 times in Liberia.
There are so many street children over 30,000 that are homeless or out in the street trying to make it on their own, after being pushed out by family members because the food is lacking for the whole family, many with no parents at all.
There is a serious malnutrition crises in Monrovia, thousands fled the rural areas during the war, and now the city is not able to accommodate them all, and any lack of food or disease will plunge them into malnutrition.
With the global food and fuel prices have more then doubled the price of rice, thousands of children are at risk.
Schools
One of the saddest situations in Liberia is that most of the schools in the rural area have been destroyed, so the children are not being educated in the rural areas. This is a tragedy., many in the bush country have to walk as far as 5 miles one way to get to a school.
One of our goals is to begin to get help in some way to start schools and find people who would teach these children, not only secular education but to teach them the word of God and that Yeshua Jesus will bring them hope.
(We have a building in the bush to start a school but need the funds to dig a well and make improvements, before we can use the building).

Children are the future of any country if the children are not educated there is no future, they will be continually under the oppression of dictators and those who want to keep them under their control

NEEDS
We want to make our needs known, so that anyone who see's our vision can lend a helping hand, if they are so able.
We need a bigger building for the school, and future orphanage, and for widows to stay with their children. Our lease is soon up so we are looking. Please keep us in payer.
We need a vehicle, car, truck, or 4 wheel. You can see in the video how bad the roads are in Liberia, and right now our team is taking a cab to the Bush and often takes them gifts for the people. This is very expensive transporting so many and limits the outreaches.
Our sister is going to send Jesse to drivers school so he can learn to drive.
We need need a treddle sewing machines, to teach the women and female former child soldiers sewing skills.
We need a gas generator.
We need supplies for outhouses and for hand dug well.
We need volunteer nurse and teachers, and supplies
We need $6,000 to buy land for the farm.
We need a Large Water tank so kids can wash their hands while at the school before eating and after using toilet.
