Our Sheep PASTURE FED ONLY
Pasture-raised with our cows, they eat a variety of plants that the other animals don't, allowing for a natural balance in the field.
We have cross bred for the 'best' of the dairy breed with the 'best' of the meat breed to achieve a balance of good mothering and excellent hardiness. Our first Ewes and Goats came here as rescues. They are guaranteed a place - on the farm and in our hearts - until they pass away from natural causes.
Our SHEEP
They are cross-bred Dorsets/KATAHDIN. They are quiet and easy to work around.They are fantastic mothers and produce a lot of milk which makes excellent lambs.
We are crossing our sheep with Katahdin and increasing our herd with purebred Katahdins. They offer the same CLA - Conjugated Linoleic Acids (Omega3's) in their meat as our beef. they are smaller than commercial breeds but offer a far superior meat for flavor and health. -
