GUIDED Trails
We are set in Limerick Forest, just off the 416, South of Kemptville. There are 3,000 acres of lovely trails here. You can experience Wild Turkeys, White-tailed Deer, 'little critters', a vast array of Birds, sometimes a Bear, mixed deciduous and evergreen bush, swamp, and yes - insects... you will experience it all. Our trails are quiet, walk only, for the benefit of both horse and rider, to relax, close your eyes and feel the deep peace of being one with nature.
Just when you feel you will never see civilization again we bring you back to the farm to further relax and mingle with the other riders to exchange stories and experiences, have a laugh, enjoy a glass of home-made wine, some BBQ and fresh garden produce in a variety of salad designs.
To finish your day, tour the farm and make sure you pick up your pictures of your special day.
Start out across the fields, with a basket in hand, and enter the forest for a two or three hour hike through mixed forests to identify, collect and learn about the hundreds - no - it's thousands - of plant flora that live beneath the great trees of the forest. Learn 'why' and 'when' they grow. Learn some folklore attached to the different plants and learn other benefits than just nutrition. Collecting as we go, we will wind up back at the farm, where we will prepare our 'found' goodies, in a variety of tasty recipes. While the food cooks/or chills, relax and find your 'legs' again. After your 'delicious' lunch, continue relaxing or tour the farm, see how we grow our garden produce and how the animals, vegetables and peoples' inter-connect on the farm.

We try to 'integrate' our guests into the farm, so they too can feel like they are a part of the whole. Whether helping to bottle feed an orphan baby, or fork hay into a stall, or pet one of the baby horses, so they learn to 'trust' people as part of their world. YOUR presence helps more than what is immediately recognizable.
