Hockey Card Collector Once Again

Welcome To My Trading Site!

My sport is hockey all the way but being from Southeastern Connecticut I found it hard to get close to hockey and never swore allegiance to any hockey team.  When I was a kid I used to go for the underdog or the team with the coolest unis or I was a front-runner...therefore I continue to root for the one constant-my country Team USA...the exciting time has come for me and my girl to get our first place so I'm making sure it has a nice finished basement where I can display some USA stuff as well as possibly a bubble-hockey table if my teaching salary will allow me to.

My collections: I am trying to collect a base rookie card of every significant NHLer that made a mark during my lifetime.  A lot of my memories include hockey seasons and every player has a good story or two.  I'm also looking into finding the LAST base card of the player with career stats on the back for a nice touch.  Next is the Team USA stuff, anything from hats to jerseys to signed stuff to put up...Last is my "savings" which I would like to pass down to future generations which is a base set from every year I am around...this has become quite an expensive proposition, especially with these darn Young Guns that I enjoy trying to get my hands on for all the trouble they put me through.  I think the real winner here is the United States Parcel Service...

I enjoy set-building and have over 70,000 cards I don't know what to do with that are organized.  I'm trying to put to sleep my 1986-87 Topps set (just need the Trottier).  I was eight when this set came out, and my parents would go out on a date and bring back a pack for both me and my brother.  He could care less about hockey or the cards, he instead chose the computer route which is making him plenty rich...I chose to spend all my allowance on hockey cards which would soon aspire to be almost worthless.  But like any still-collector from the early nineties I do not simply collect for the $ or I would have left it long ago.

Feel free to check out my Want Lists and Trade Lists, I love to trade, or to just talk hockey, or even if you have any questions.

                                                                                                                 Enjoy,
