My name is Gerry and I am a chef by profession. I have been one for over 25 years. I have worked in all areas of the catering regarding the production and serving of food in front of the public. I am very experienced. My forte is pastry which I have a great liking for.
I also like to get involved in the area of making or being in movies as an extra or as an actor. I find the area of food and movie making very similar with regards to creativity. I like to make mini documentaries and also to film places of interest.
My interests are the martial arts, jogging, going to the gym, reading a good book, going to the pub, having a laugh, watching a good movie. Sometimes going to a nightclub.

I am an honest, reliable, trustworthy, organised and self-reliant individual with over twenty years experience in the catering industry, working as a chef for four star standard employers from Fortnum and Masons (Piccadilly) to the Dorchester Hotel (park Lane). I enjoy working within active, challenging team environments where clear communications, attention to detail, meeting targets and group co-operation are key to success. I am a highly organised and focused individual, able to meet challenging targets through my own initiative or as part of a group. I can work flexible hours and can adapt quickly within the workplace to fast changing demands. I also have a good overall grand strategy capacity regarding major projects.

Communication skills
I have an excellent standard of verbal and written communication skills, am able to communicate effectively with people at all levels, both on an individual basis and within a team environment. Crisp clear communication is necessary for ideas to be exchanged and acted upon.
Observational skills
Attention to detail, punctuality, reliability and adherance to regulation and set standards (including health and safety) are integral elements of my catering role working within a wide range of environments.
Organisational skills
As a chef in a wide range of busy hotel/catering environments, being able to effectively manage is essential, and to manage properly is to be properly organised: to ensure that I can contribute to the team in maintaining high standards of customer service.
